For this essay you will be responsible for finding examples

of stereotypical/ biased gender representation within media
(books, music, television, social media, etc). For example,
take an advertisement such as the one shown on the right,
and write an analysis on whether the add is representing
gender stereotypically. Do you think today’s media perpetuates gender stereotypes? Do you
think this is harmful? Why so? Have you dealt with a form of gender bias in your own life? If so,
what happened?
 
An [A+] paper will :

● Begin with a strong thesis paragraph, that introduces the media item you have chose,
and briefly state how the item misrepresents gender.

● Show potential readers, in a well developed body paragraph, how your chosen item
perpetuates a certain gender stereotype.

● Answer each of the questions asked in the prompt in a clear and concise manner.

that begin with strong introductory

which restates your thesis and
