 Nomination of right vessel at right freight and at right time for dry bulk cargo for coastal and ocean
export/import with negotiation of freight on prevailing dry bulk freight market indices and charter party terms.

 To Facilitate the smooth processing & execution of Export Sales Orders & Import Purchase Orders, maximizing
Export benefits under EXIM Policy, minimizing import duties and transaction costs.

PROFILE

 To be responsible for operational and commercial aspect of voyage from fixing till completion of discharge and
final settlement of lay time involved.

 Knowledge of cost drivers for ocean, air and road transportation and market knowledge Logistics Landscape &
its competitors, suppliers, overall environment help in stronger validation of logistics proposals.

 Negotiated Ocean freight on drivers like Currency Adjustment Factor, Bunker Adjustment Factor, Port
Congestion Surcharge, War Risk, Tonnage, Fleet Sizes, Supply/Demand etc. fixtures and COAs/CVC with Baltic
Dry Indices.

 Establishment of port revenue and Cargo visibility/security by handling cargo mix with volume growth through
ICDs, CFS, logistic parks, SEZs like strategic partners along with port capacity additions, mechanisation,
automation and cost optimization by optimum port utilization/ efficiency/ productivity.

 Inept Experience in all Modes (Road, Rail, Sea, Multimodal), Coastal Cargo Movement and Port Handling.

 Responsible for export & import ship planning, customs clearance, overseas warehousing, documentation.

PROJECT IMPORT PROJECT LOGISTICS (ODC/SODC/HW & HL LOGISTICS):
 Conversant with of Import and Export rules and regulations, correct interpretation and understanding
of notifications for Project import and Registration with Customs under Chapter Heading 9802 and its
compliance.

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT
 Managing day to day Warehouse Operations (For warehouses ;PAN India) of inbound, outbound, storage, Order
Fulfilment, Stock taking & reconciliation, etc as per the approved process and timely accounting.

 Formulation and application of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operations in alignment with SOPs

 Managing warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision and warehouse design and layout
ensuring efficient space and handling equipment utilization/ maintenance.

 Stacking and preservation of materials as per laid down guidelines & manufacturers instruction manual;
Utilization of the material on First in First out basis (FIFO) / FEFO.

 Warehouse management System(WMS) and Statutory Audits & ISO Compliances and ISO, EMS, OHSAS.

 Successfully brought part of spill over Coastal Coal Cargo from neighboring competing Paradeep Port from
(Southern State Power Plants: NTECL, TANGENCO, APGNCO) on utilization of surplus capacity of export
terminal, quick turn-around of inward coal from mines, loading of high DWT coastal vessels on higher draft
than Paradeep Port with ocean freight economy.
 Surplus capacity at export berth was utilized by self geared import vessels for Rashmi metallics, Usha Martin
and others for coal, coke, pig iron , flux cargo gave additional volume of 2 MTPA, revenue of Rs.120Cr.
 Feasibility study of a fertilizer berth(Initially for 2.5MTPA) along with bagging and covered storage facilities
after assessing the demand,their current importation and distribution from Zuari Agro, IFFCO , Corromondol
Fertilizers, Tata Chemicals. Jai Shree Chemicals (Bangur)..

• Master plan to develop Multiple Cargo handling for more than 125 MMT cargo volume with plan to develop
Dhamra as Eastern maritime Gateway for India-Nepal-Bangladesh-Myanmar.

 Overall port logistics management for 18 MMTA dry bulk cargo for Tata, SAIL, JSPL, BSL(Coal, coke, slag),
Adani Enterprises Ltd( Coal business) with a mix of long term, short term and spot contract to mitigate risk of
port volume and revenue streams.

 Take or Pay contract, Minimum Rakes Indent & Storage Space area stipulations ,Shifting charges were applied
for Tata Steel and negotiated and settled Rs.26cr.pending for storage& shifting beyond free period.

JINDAL STAINLESS LTD, GENERAL MANAGER (LOGISTICS)

Planed to reduce logistics cost wrt trucks (Introduced CONCOR & TRANS-RAIL for bulk movement of finished
goods from eastern part to western hubs like Kalomboli and Vadodara and distribution thereafter from

warehouse at both places and overcame irregular truck availability and Finished goods inventory piling up.
 Outbound/inbound logistic(1 MMT of Outbound,2 MMT of inbound Cargo with Annual Logistics Spend of 500 Cr
& Monthly container export of 1500 Nos TEUs(Partnering DAMCO) PM through Vizag,Haldia &Paradip.
 Monitoring of lead time Ex- mill to SOB. controlling of documents like ARE 1, MR and BLs, rebate claims.

 Control on Buffer charges (Patalganga) by planning and connecting TEUs to container liners in time.
 Triangulation Triangulation( Reverse Logistics) Service : All Maersk line inward containers are used for export
by service provider/freight forwarder DAMCO. i.e. Import to Export Conversion over 1500 TEUs.
 A 15% dead freight saving in containerisation from Heavy duty to Normal duty TEUs by avoiding dead
freight.
• Re-Negotiation of Pan India surface Transportation Contract with 3 transporters viz DARCL, Union Roadways,
ARC assigning different regional logistics geographies for a highly differentiated complex logistics solution
like delivery of 93 grades to 100 customers destinations PAN India including own depots and service centres.

ESSAR SHIPPING AND PORT LOGISTICS LTD STORAGE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SOLUTION
 Regulations in DTA, SEZ,FTWZ, Re-Export Taxation with Commercial issues were delivered to the prospects.
 Presented the Competitive advantages of Vadinar port in Storage Tankages solutions of Crude & Refined White
oil-Lubricants with respective to Fujairah, Singapore, Rotterdam ports etc to global oil traders like Vitol, Noble,
Glencore , Vopak, Trafigura, MOL group and OMC s etc. with impact of contango and normal backwardation.

LOGISTICS NETWOK AT ESSAR

 Teamed up in an integrated logistics solutions network of handling Bulk Raw Material and finished goods of
over 10 MMTA(Total) under outbound despatch with multimodal logistics.
 Teamed up managing more than 50 railway goods sidings dedicated storage yards & industrial warehouses at
multiple locations for multimodal logistics, 10 major/minor ports and bulk onward shipment to 150
destinations.
 Intra-plant logistics operations ,load consolidation/evacuation in a manner, to save the company from loss of
idle freight and loss on account of demurrages.
 Liaisoning with ICDs Ankleshwar and Hazira ensuring timely and maximum realization of export incentives

ESSAR PORT - MULTI USER COAL TERMINAL,20MMTA, COST 5000 CR.( BEIRA PORT,MOZAMBIQUE)

 Deputed to Mozambique, Zimbabwe for Logistics Solution Design and a feasibility study for 20 MMTPA bulk
cargo Terminal at Beira(Mozambique) with EPC cost of 441Million USD.
 Prepared feasibility Report on port traffic, coal cargo projections, proposal of cargo handling facilities and
logistics model, financial model with projected cash flows, mines to port Sena corridor capacity assessment.
 Networked with Transporters, freight forwarders, vessel owners, vessel agents, clearing agents from
Mozambique port like e.g Greenrod, Mocargo ,LBH, Manica, Saraf Shipping for a robust Supply chain .

offshore transshipment by Coeclerici Logistics’ and Anchorage operation By Sula Shipping at Beira-
sea for scaling up port cargo volume due to low draft at berth .
ESSAR SHIPPING & PORT LOGISTICS LTD(MUMBAI/GUJARAT)
 TEUs were moved through Dhamramtar port node to JNPT Port Multimodal Route was designed for saving in
cost by 20% and TEUs missing liners were reduced by 40% Savings in Buffer storage.
 Achieved a record 25% Savings in Freight Costs in a single quarter,125% Increase in loading rate on HRC and
CRC in Panamax vessels, under challenging conditions, NIL Detention over more than 40 Fixtures.
 “Zero’ Demurrage Operations Model resulted in nullifying demurrage impact (INR 67 Cr. From 2011 till 2012).

 Project logistics : Transportation of Ladle Transfer Car ( 60 ft x 15 ft x12 ft) -60 MT from Bhilai to Ispat
(Dolvi) near Mumbai by PAPOSA transport from (Bhilai-CH) Using Multi axle Low Bed Trailor.
 Trip Optimisation by consolidation, route planning in milk run shipment and drop/collection of goods, and
