Intended use
To provide a desired gentle rotation to vigorous agitation for mixing test
solutions in micro-titration assays and for use in hematology, urology, or
EIA/ELISA immunology within the range of 10 – 400 rpm (VRN-480) for
mixing each test tube or well, flask evenly by the orbiting motion.

Applications for Alpha, Kline, Mazzini, Syphills, Pregnancy and others.

Refer to the clinic laboratory method specified by the reagent manufacturer or

established by medical technology for products application.

Installation
Remove the equipment carefully from the packing material, check the
electrical specifications located on side of the equipment. Plug cord into a
properly grounded outlet.
WARNING：

Do not lift the equipment by pulling the platform out of the packing materials,
there is possibility of damage to the equipment.

OPERATION：

1、 Check the electrical specifications located on back of this equipment

firstly. Make sure the power specifications must meet your local codes.

2、 Plug cord in a properly grounded receptacle.

3、 Place the testing specimen on to the platform properly. The textured
non-slip rubber-foam mixing pad holds various sizes of printed well
slides, culture plates, flasks, micro plate, vessels and test-tube racks
by means of friction.

4、 VRN-480：
When flasks are used for operation, choice of various sizes of stainless
steel clamps (holders) for flasks to meet your requirement. Just turn the
screwdriver to fasten the clamps into the platform properly. Fasteners
are attached. It does not need to remove the platform for screwing the
flasks holders

5、 Press the power switch to ON position.

6、 Features 2-mode operations：

“Timer” and “Switch” activated rotation

1、VRN-480：
Set time to your desired time for intermittent operation, or set time to
HOLD position for the continuous operation.

2、VRN-210, VRN-200, VRN-360：

- Switch power OFF and set your desired time by turning the control
knob for the intermittent rotation within the time set.
- Just switch power on for the continuous rotation.
- Fixed speed is optional by pressing the switch to “ = ” position.

7、 Set speed by turning the control knob clockwise to your desired speed.
The platform starts to rotate. VRN-480 and VRN-360 are equipped
with the tachometer, read the speed directly from the tachometer.
No speed indicator is mounted for VRN-210 and VRN-200, user is
requested to use the digital speed meter to set and monitor rotating
speed.

8、 When the time has elapsed, the platform stops automatically.

10、 Rechargeable battery is optional for VRN-200 and VRN-360. When the
mains power supply is consumed, the battery will be charged
automatically. 3 hours can be used from the full charge of battery. The
adaptor is included for 12V battery input.
NOTE：
The platform configuration is fragile, Handle with Care. Do not strike the
platform directly, or move the unit by pulling the platform.

How to calibrate the FIXED speed：
The recalibration of fixed speed is applied to VRN-200, 210, 360 only.

The equipment is initially calibrated the Fixed speed at 130rpm in house,

other value of Fixed speed is calibrated as depicted below:

 Press speed switch to “FIXED” position

 Find a hold on back of the unit in which there is one screwdriver-like
adjuster (VR).
 Turn VR clockwise to achieve a higher speed, or turn counterclockwise to
achieve a lower speed.
 Repeat this procedure and use tachometer to measure the speed of
platform until it can meet your desired speed.
 If you cannot find a tachometer, use your finger to touch the platform
slightly and count the rotation for one minute to get your desired speed.

Maintenance & Servicing

1、 Always disconnect from power supply prior to maintenance & servicing

to avoid electrical shock. Refer to servicing to qualified personnel and
licensed engineers.

2、 Always use a properly grounded electrical outlet of correct voltage and

current handling.

3、 The drive motor and linkage assembly does not required lubrication.

4、 Do not remove equipment from carton box by pulling its platform.

There is possibility to damage the equipment.

5、 Always refer to “Disassembly” for maintenance & servicing.

6、 GEMMY will not assure any responsibility on persons who violate the
regulations established above.
7、 In case of the spilt solution or specimen from the flasks or vessels,
disconnect from the power supply immediately to avoid the electrical
shock. Disassemble the equipment and use cloth to clean the solution
then dry the equipment by air. Heating dry is prohibited.

8、 When the rubber-form pad is polluted by the spilt solution, remove the
pad from the equipment and wearing latex gloves to wash the rubber-
form pad. Dry the pad naturally by air. Heat dry is prohibited.
Take care of the water treatment after cleaning.

9、 Brush-less motor is used. Do not require change the carbon brushes.

10、 Once the rotating pivot is movable, adjust and position the pivot
properly, rotate the platform until the rotating drive is smoothly, then
glue it firmly.

Disassembly

1、 Always disconnect from power supply prior to disassembly.

2、 Disassembly is limited to the qualified personnel and licensed engineers.
3、 Loosen set-screw to remove control knob of speed controller and timer.
4、 Loosen the screw to remove the eccentric pivot to remove the platform
5、 Disconnect wires from assembly prior to disassembly the electronic parts.
6、 The front controlled panel is glued
7、 The power switch and power cord outlet should be compressed on the sides
from removal.
8、 Loosen the screws to remove the timer, speed tachometer and speed
regulator.

Troubleshooting ：

Direction to clean:

- Disconnect from power supply prior to cleaning

- Clean the equipment after every use
- Use a moist cleaning cloth to clean the case, platform
- Dry the equipment thoroughly before use
- Never use benzine or paint thinner for cleaning
- Do not immerse this equipment in water

Transportation
- Fragile, Handle With Care
- Do not drop the equipment
- Do not place this equipment upside down
- Do not move the equipment by pulling its platform

Storage
- Do not place this equipment in draft, sunlight or near a piece of equipment,
which emits heat as well as electromagnetic conduction emission.
- Disconnect power supply when store this equipment
- Do not place or store equipment where it can fall down easily
- This equipment shall be stored under the condition of room temperature.

Condition for transportation & storage

- Temperature ： 10ºC – 40ºC
- Humidity ： 40% - 90%

Your GEMMY product is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and

workmanship for one (1) year under normal use from the date of purchase.

This WARRANTY does not apply to any product damaged by accident,

misuse, abuse or repaired by anyone other than the qualified service
personnel.

The liability of Gemmy Industrial Corp. is limited to repair or replacement and

under no circumstances shall GEMMY be liable for any collateral consequential
damages or losses. This guarantee specifically excludes the expendables and
consumables.

All warranty claims must be directed to the distributors or agents authorized by
