What is IT?

 IT is related to electronic data


 Data is anything which is factual and revolves around statistics.
 Information technology is the usage of computers ,Networking and Physical devices:-

 To create a data
 To process a data
 To store a data

 Physical devices have Software and Hardware


 Software like operating system which is used to operator a computer

What is HRM?

HRM is the process of


 Acquiring
 Training
 Appraising
 Compensating employees
 Attending to Labor relations
 Health & Safety concerns

E-HRM:-
 Practical application of Information technology to support HRM process
 It uses internet and other related technologies to support itself
 It contains data gathering tools

Software’s useful for E-HRM:-

 ERP (Enterprise resource Planning)


 SAP (System Approach and Product)
 HR Payroll system

Types of E-HRM:-

1. Operational E-HRM

 It is concerned with day to day administrative functions in an organization


 Examples are Payroll and employee personal data

2. Relational E-HRM

 Concerned with supporting Business processes


 Examples are Training ,Recruitment ,Performance management

3. Transformational E-HRM
 Concerned with strategic HR activities
 Examples are Strategic orientation and Knowledge management
1) E-Job design:-
 It is almost similar to the HRM practice in normal condition
 Job Analysis is the process for determining the duties and skill requirement of a job
 Job Description A list of Job’s duties ,relationship ,working conditions
 Job Specification Human requirements of the job that is education ,skills ,personality

What practically happens?

 HR manager first identify skill requirement of the company and employee and then he matches both
 Then by using the competency mapping and listening skills
 HR manager places that information on Local server or Internet
 System produces the output/ result describing which employee is suitable for which skill

2) E-Recruitment:-

 It is also called Online recruitment


 Attracting applicants for the employees open position

Sources of E-recruitment:-

 Job Portals
Organization can post the position with the job description and job specification on the job portal
Examples are Naukri.com Rozegar.com
 Company’s own website
Creating a complete online recruitment application section in the company’s own website
Procedure
o Post job ads on online job boards.
o Seek employee referrals through your Applicant Tracking System (ATS.)
o Source candidates on social media or portfolio sites.
o Administer online pre-employment tests.
o Interview candidates using video interviewing software.
o Conduct background checks through a provider that your ATS integrates with.

3) E-Selection:-
The process in which managers use to determine the relative qualification of job applicants and their
potential

4) E-Training&Development
It is also called E learning
It involves the usage of computer or any other device to provide training or educational material

 Synchronous Both learning and execution happens at one time
 Asynchronous Learning and execution happens with time delay
