To Whom It May Be Concerned:

It is my pleasure to write in support of the application of Danielle Aguilar for a leadership

position. I have worked with Ms. Aguilar during her graduate program in Curriculum and
Instruction from 2015. She successfully graduated from the program August 2017.

Ms. Aguilar’s program focused on her development as a leader in educational settings. Her
program concentrated next just on curriculum theory and research but also leadership theory on
curriculum development, curriculum evaluation, development of teachers through formative
strategies and professional development. She demonstrated throughout the program her ability
to apply what was learned to her practice through projects and reflections.

Ms. Aguilar has demonstrated through projects that she has worked constructively with
colleagues in her school setting. She has also demonstrated that she interacts positively with
students, parents, and broader professional community. She has excellent communication skills
both orally and written. From reflections and evidence presented in her culminating portfolio it
is also clear the she has excellent communication with students, parent, and community. Her
strong skill in collaborating and community with the diverse constitutes within schools will be an
asset to any leadership role.

On a personal level, Ms. Aguilar is a well-disciplined, industrious professional with a

pleasant personality. Throughout her courses with me, she has demonstrated great
perseverance and initiative. Not only was she interested in and motivated to learn the
material, but she also put great work into assimilating it to her own experience and
developing her own ideas.
