SUBJECT —Fixation of ceiling on optional cost for Professional/Technical Colleges imparting
B. Tech./M. Tech., M.B.B.S., B.D.S., M.B.A., M.C.A., H.M. & C.T., Marine Engineering,
B. Pharm/M. Pharm, B. Arch. etc., programmes.
No. 14110—I-TTI-45/2010(Pt.)-I.— In exercise of power conferred on Government under
sub-section (7) of Section 6 and other provisions of the Orissa Professional Educational Institutions
(Regulation of Admission & Fixation of Fee) Act, 2007 and basing on the recommendation of the
Fee Structure Committee constituted in terms of interim order of Hon’ble Supreme Court, dated the
1st June 2007 in Special Leave Petition (Civil) No.(s) 10318, 10319, 10329 and 10330 of 2007, the
Government have been pleased to fix provisionally the ceiling on Optional Cost to be collected from
the students by Professional/Technical Colleges in respect of all programmes with effect from the
Academic Session 2010-2011 as detailed below :—

2 Transportation Cost Rs. 7,000 up to 20 Kms. & Rs. 10,000 for more than
that for the full year.
3 Pre Placement Training B. Tech.
1. Rs. 10,000 for total course subject to maximum
of Rs. 2,500 per year.
M.B.A. & M.C.A.
2. Rs. 8,000 for total course subject to maximum
of Rs. 4,000 per year.
4 Blazer and Uniform The cost of blazer provided by the College shall not
exceed Rs. 2,500 and for blazer and for uniform
together provided by the College shall not exceed
Rs. 4,000.

The aforesaid ceiling on Optional Cost will be effective from the Academic Session
2010-2011 until further orders. These fees are payable only if concerned services items are availed
by the student and are not compulsory in nature.
Any clarification the ceiling on Optional Cost, if so necessary, the decision of Government
in Industries Department is final and binding.

ORDER—Ordered that this notification be published in the extraordinary issue of the Orissa
Gazette for general information and copies be forwarded to all the Departments of
the Government and placed in the website of Industries Department.
