SWC Lesson Reflection (Completed after EVERY lesson taught)

Select (S):
Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
I taught a science lesson was about the seasons of the year. As I prepared with my MST and I
showed her the kinds of activity, if it suits with them. I prepared activities about seasons which
were: to stick leaves for each season, stick clothes in right season and stick each season with
weather about it. In addition, I prepared a worksheet as extra activity for those who finish fast.
For closing, I asked students to describe me a season and what weather for it.

Describe (D):
Who is the lesson for?
Where did the lesson take place?
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson?
What did the students do?
On 20 February 2018 I taught a science lesson was about seasons. It was for KG2-C students, I
taught this lesson in the learning environment which is the classroom. I am working to achieve
managing them, because while they managed they will respond and interact with lesson. As I
noticed, students were managed and did the activities as I hoped. In addition, I felt students like
the kinds of activities because it depends on creating and using colors.

Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did?
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding?
How well did you engage the students?
I think they responded to me because of colorful activities so I got their attention and they were
busy. I connected this lesson to prior lesson about weather, for instance, I asked them when we
feel hot and the sun is shining which seasons is that. I engaged them by turn a song about the four
seasons. They were singing and do actions with song. So, that they realize the lesson will be
about seasons.
Appraise (A):
Explain the nature of the experience from the students’ perspective
Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?
I felt the students enjoyed with seasons lesson and responded. They got the concept and did the
activities completely well. Some of students connected this lesson about the real life examples.
For example, one of students said he traveled to Germany and the weather was snowy in winter
season. I felt I achieved the teaching goals when they respond to my question when I ask them.
For instance, which season the leaves fall down and become yellow? They said fall season, so by
that I know they understand the lesson.

Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future?
What are the implications for your professional practice?
I will work to make different levels of activities that have challenging. In general the students
were interact and active during the lesson. The implication of lesson to me was to work how deal
with active students and let them to respond to my instructions. as I observed they are active and
take time to respond.
