A sea monster has set up all the alarms, and finally an expedition is organized to capture it,

which includes the famous professor of Natural History Pierre Aronnax, his assistant Conseil and

the Canadian harpoon expert Ned Land, aboard the American frigate Abraham Lincoln.

The monster turns out to be a surprising submarine under the command of Captain Nemo, and

the fact that he must keep the secret poses a serious problem to the captain as to the release of the

three main characters. Captain Nemo, the tormented and disillusioned savant of the human race,

in which libertarian individualism and an exacerbated sense of justice converge, has undoubtedly

become one of the paradigms of the adventure novel and his presence would be enough for

justify the place of honor that occupies Twenty thousand leagues of submarine travel in the

genre. And yet it contains many other inducements: emotion, knowledge, suspense, unforgettable

characters, unexpected moves ...

One of the milestones of the novel of adventures and inexhaustible source for the subsequent

narrative of anticipation.

Argument:

About a century ago, no plane flew through the sky and steam boats were the novelty. That was

when a monster appeared in the sea, which was the terror of the sailors. To catch it, the frigate

Abraham Lincoln was prepared.

Together with his crew, Professor Aronnax and the assistant council traveled. The two made

friends with whale harpooner Ned Land. One day the three were on deck when they saw the
monster in the distance. The crew prepared to fight with the monster. But there was no fight. A

storm sank the ship. Some men drowned, trying to save themselves. The professor and Council

swam side by side.

Shortly after, the professor and council were picked up in a boat by Ned Land. They sailed in the

direction of a small island. It was their only hope of salvation in the midst of the sea that

stretched to infinity. Upon reaching the island they were surprised. It was not an island. It was a

sheet steel construction, the 3 understood that this was the monster. As they could not choose,

they decided to stay there.

The 3 men went down into the submarine and walked to a luxuriously furnished room. There

they met the captain who informed them that they were aboard the Nautilus and that whoever

enters there never leaves. Captain Nemo invited the castaways to lunch. The Professor, Council

and Ned found the food delicious. Nemo told them that everything came from the sea. After

lunch, Captain Nemo took them to see how the ingredients they used for food were collected.

Captain Nemo discovered that Ned intended to flee. Returning to the Nautilus, he locked the two

in his cabin. There Ned began to study some maps he found to send messages inside

bottles. When the Nautilus rose to the surface, the two boys took the opportunity to throw their

bottles into the sea.Suddenly a violent storm broke out but the submarine submerged fleeing the

bad weather. They had never descended so much. Horrified everyone saw the eye of a giant

octopus next to the glass. The entire Nautilus was shaken by a violent tremor. And the captain

decided to go up to the surface to fight it.

The captain advanced bravely with a harpoon, during the fight he was caught. The giant octopus

immobilized him and in that instant, Ned launched his harpoon against the octopus. The animal,

wounded, backed off. The grateful captain decided to allow the three travelers to return home.
As for the bottles with the messages, it seems that until now nobody has found anything.

Nemo

Pedro Arronax: This professor of marine specialization, his sole purpose was to get out of the

great unknown that it was that great mass that attacked boats until they were sunk. When he was

presented with the opportunity to go to the Abraham Lincoln expedition, he accepted

categorically. His character as a researcher became even greater when inside the Nautilus he

could appreciate the endless number of marine species that abound in the depths, so much so that

history tells us that he spent all his time taking notes and descriptions of what he lived.

Another very important aspect was that he analyzed in detail the behavior of Captain Nemo with

society and his weak points regarding his family.

Advice: This faithful servant of Pedro Arronax participated as 100% of company to his master

and in a certain way I support the harpooner in his plans of evasion, but this occurred as Arronax

showed no sign of bothering with this plan, since be it for your circumstances of travel analysis.

Ned Land: This character is part of the ingratitude in this story because despite the pity that he

had to not let him die and invite him to be part of his crew this had a character of insecurity

always with a tendency to elope and not be in command of No captain.

Captain Nemo: This character is the easiest to analyze because of the environment in which he

tells us that he lives, and in this case it is in the depths of the sea, always with a tendency of

revenge against all the ships that wanted to attack him as they once did and they attacked his

wife and children.

He showed a feeling of sadness when the English crew member died and even more so when

visiting the submarine tomb of the war vessel El Vengador.

The sea is the vast receptacle of nature, covers seven tenths of the globe, is the vehicle of a

supernatural and prodigious existence. Its great depths are completely unknown to Pierre
Aronnax, Professor of Natural History at the Paris Museum, and that one day, together with

his faithful servant Conseil and his friend Ned Land, they will embark on a journey to go

around the underwater world, thanks to the audacious Nemo, captain of the surprising

Nautilus.

An extraordinary, supernatural expedition, whose amazement and stupefaction will be the

usual mood, a spectacle incessantly offered to the eyes for those who must surrender their

lives and freedom to the sea and its captain, a fierce misanthrope who will carry to the end

the enigma of his being.
