Dates to Remember Dear Parents,

May 8- Library Unit 5 Week 5 Spelling words are

going home today. I have attached
May 11- Spelling Test several other sheets to the words
May 15- Library for practice each night. This will
help with your child’s fluency in
May 18- Spelling Test
reading and with remembering the
May 22- Library sound spelling for this week.
May 25- Spelling Test As a reminder, I do send the
May 30-ALL LIBRARY BOOKS
spelling words home in a stapled
DUE BACK TO THE LIBRARY. packet with this newsletter
attached. I have reports from the
kids that the packets are being
thrown away. Please go through
your child’s papers carefully and
Unit 5 Week 5 Vocabulary
keep the spelling words plus the
Balance- stay in place without practices sheets attached in a safe
falling place.
Also if you have a Weekly Reader
Section- small part of something Envelope at your house or any
bigger books that belong to me, please
send them back ASAP.

build Please make sure your child is
practicing their spelling words every
fall night. I purposely give these words on
Friday to give extra practice time. Also,
reading practice every night is important
to promote reading fluency. We have the
IRI coming up in May.

Also, the last day for checking out books

is May 16th. All books are due back May
3oth. A fee will be assessed for any lost
books.
