• Comments: The facilities, including exterior, client waiting areas, floor plan, safety features,
counseling rooms, storage rooms, and classrooms were in substantial compliance with
Program requirements, except as noted below.

• Discrepancies: Smoke detectors were not installed.

• Corrective Action Recommended/Taken: Smoke detectors were installed.

Section B. Program Administration

• Comments: Program administration, including the storage of client records, storage of client
education materials, policies regarding background checks and locations of policy and
procedure manuals were in substantial compliance with Program requirements, except as
noted below.

• Discrepancies: One piece of unacceptable educational material was in client accessible area.

• Corrective Action Recommended/Taken: Provider moved material to client inaccessible area.

• Comments: Required program records, including floor plans, policies and procedures,
organizational charts, certifications, employee and/or volunteer manuals, and training
materials were made available and were in substantial compliance with Program requirements,
except as noted below.

• Discrepancies: Handicap and confidentiality policies needed revision.

• Corrective Action Recommended/Taken: Handicap and confidentiality policies were revised.

Section D. Summary of Report and Provider Client Services

Pregnancy Care Center – Huntsville serves women and men who are dealing with an unplanned
pregnancy. Services provided to their clients range from counseling to classes. Not only does the
organization provide services to clients, it provides clients information about organizations and
agencies that help with a variety of pregnancy needs. They receive referrals from social service
agencies, medical providers, professional counselors, and government agencies. The organization
makes referrals most often to government and social service agencies and medical providers.
