USAG-PROGRAM 1000 V
The line of insulated tools produced by USAG in compliance with IEC 900,
CEI EN 60900 regulations, has been designed to guarantee maximum safety and
working comfort in all legally permissible applications in which it is necessary to work
on equipment with voltages of up to 1000 V. The insulation provided is appropriate
to this type of tool and the relative operational characteristics:
injection moulding techniques are used. In compliance with the
regulations regarding mechanical function, the insulation of tools
with specific characteristics and performances is subjected to
very rigorous testing:
x Voltage test applied at 10,000 V and measurement of the leakage current
x Adhesion test of the insulating parts on the metallic surfaces of the tools, even at
+70oC, with a check on the resistance to peeling of the grip if the sheathing
becomes twisted, and on detachment due to tensile stress
x Tests on shock-resistance even at -25oC, with a check on
the soundness of the insulating surfaces by means of
applied voltage
x Compression tests of the insulating surfaces at 70oC,
with applied voltage
x Non-inflammability tests on the insulating surfaces

As a further guarantee of their quality, insulated USAG tools have been granted permission to use the
trademarks IMQ, and these are now stamped on the products concerned
