The article “Top 5 ways of Helping People in Developing Countries” informs of ways to

help those in underdeveloped countries. The five ways that the author elaborates on are traveling,

volunteering, giving money to sustainable projects/large NGO’s, teaching business skills, and

raising awareness. While traveling to developing countries doing tours and buying things from

local markets, its helps their economy. Another way to help is by taking trips to volunteer in

underdeveloped counties. The next way is by donating money to NGO’s (Non-governmental

organizations) and the author also talks about choosing the right NGO. The next way to help is

by teaching business skills. People in developing countries simply have not been taught skills

that could potentially help small businesses. The final way that the author talks about helping

people is to raise awareness. Spreading the information can help others learn happening in these

countries and motivate them to want to help.

Since my initial question is “What can I do to help those in underprivileged countries?”

this article was helpful and informing. I learned several possible ways to help those who aren’t as

fortunate as I am. This article is very opinionated and I agreed with most of her opinions so I

enjoyed reading the article. This article is relevant to my inquiry topic because it basically

answers my questions. I was searching for ways to helps children in underdeveloped and I found

some.

This article proved to be credible because it is written by an author who is personable and

gives her opinions. The author provides an email and phone number so people can contact her
about ways to help in underprivileged countries. She also provides pictures of her experiences,

and travel blogs which create a more personal effect while reading the article. It made me feel

like she has enough information to share with other people.
