DEMOLITION METHODOLOGY

DISMANTLING SEQUENCE
Before commencing any dismantling operation, priority is given to the setting up of support facilities such as, changing rooms and storage units, giving
necesarry required services to the work force.

Once “work Units” have been erected, Mostaloy will identify zones to be protected, prior to commencement of any works as follows:-

1. Metal sheeting will be used to separate and protect outsiders from the site.
2. Hoarding will be provided inorder to act as a temporary wall while demolitions are ongoing.

All utilities connected to the site eg, water, electricity and plumbing have to be correctly identified and securely disconnected during the demolition and
dismantling process.

NON-LOAD BEARING STUD PARTITION WALLS:

The internal walls of the building are generally plasterboard on timber stud. Such partitions will be removed by hand by operatives using suitable hand held
tools, namely electric screw drivers, crow bars, picks and hammers. Timber stud partitions will be de-erected by removing the coverings using the hammers
and bars. Once exposed the remaining timber stud work is to be prized free and denailed.

WASTE DISPOSAL
Once the site has been checked an confirmed worthy for the cleaning iperation to commence, the operators will start packing and securing the “Residual
Waste” identified and catalogued as “Dangerous” first. These will be removed to an identified secure storage area to be dealt with appropriately. Dangerous
residual waste must be securely removed followed by Non-dangerous residual waste. Any material required to be disposed of off-site will be taken off site
in bin containers and delivered to suitably licensed disposal and/or recycling centres. Any hazardous or suspected hazardous materials will be removed
from site by a licensed waste disposal contractor in accordance with the COSHH Regulations. All relevant Duty of Care arrangements and waste transfer
notes will accompany each bin consignment taken off site. All items of salvage value will be removed from site promptly to prevent the temptation for
unauthorized access onto the site.
