OBJECTIVE:
Dedicated, detail oriented and quality conscious Mechanical Engineer with Over 4 years of project experience and
demonstrated accomplishment in the design and development of consumer product related to food and beverage.
Looking forward to an opportunity to apply my skills in the other application while meeting the strategic objectives.

EDUCATION:
Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering Dec/2015
Michigan Technological University Houghton, MI, USA

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering Jun/2012

Visvesvaraya Technological University Karnataka, India

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Cornelius Inc. Glendale Heights, IL, USA Feb/2016 - Present
Mechanical Engineer I
 Creating concepts & build prototypes using the latest technologies.
 Develop the CAD model & perform structural and CFD model simulation for the projects.
 Layout, plan & conduct the performance test on different dispensing units to meet the Industry standards.

Cornelius Inc. Glendale Heights, IL, USA Jan/2015- Aug/2015

Engineering Design Intern
 Implemented GD&T and top-down design, process assembly techniques utilizing Creo 2.0 for the Multi
Flavor Valve.
 Performed VA/VE for the Multi Flavor Valve to improve the Cpk.

Marmon Food and Beverage Technologies India Private Ltd. Bangalore, India Aug/2012 –Apr/2014
Design Engineer
 Provide design support for the new product development & manage engineering change orders.

APW President Systems, Bangalore, India Feb/2012 – May/2012

Project Management Intern
 Development of Enclosures:
 Successfully reduced the scarp rate of QT2000 sheetmetal enclosure from 21% to 7% by modifying
nesting on Auto CAD.
 Reduced the total idle time, which intern brought down the piece cost up to 20%.

TECHNICAL TOOLS & SKILLS:

 Creo 3.0, Windchill, ANSYS (Mechanical & CFD), SpaceClaim, NX 8.5, MathCAD,
FANUC Handling Pro, Taptic App, Microsoft Project & Visio
 DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance Analysis

PROJECTS:
Variety Pro Valve:
 Developed a valve technology to dispense 3 different brands using the capacitive touch module.
 Performed plastic injection molding, sheet metal parts, elastomers and machining design for the different
components of the valve.
 Conducted statistical performance and reliability test using the DFMEA inputs
 Provided continuous engineering support to get the mold tools & worked with the procurement/manufacturing teams
to build the effective number of samples within the timeline.
 Worked on agency files to get the certification from NSF & UL.
H2Optmized Tower:

 Built a skeleton tower, which dispense 2 types of water along with 6 different flavors and vitamins.
 Performed FEA on the structure to determine the overall stress on the hinge during the screen open condition & also to
check the fatigue on the snap feature.
 Studied the pump characteristics to choose a common pump for different viscosity fluids & prepared a BRIX table to
set up the water to flavor/vitamin ratio using the specific gravity of the fluids.
 Collaborated with Manufacturing/ Quality Engineering to improve the design & addressed all the TSD’s (Temporary
Specification Deviation) raised during the build.
 Co-authored the Touchscreen UI based on the customer inputs using the Taptic application.

Cold plate technology:

 Modified the layout of the current heat exchanger to improve the performance.
 Conducted DOE based on the functional parameters & performed the draw tests at different test conditions.
 Analyzed the FEA results of different materials & fluid flow characteristics to determine the medium of heat transfer.
 Explored different modes of heat transfer & unique production techniques like Ultrasonic machining, Granular
aluminum, water bath with recirculation etc.
 Concluded with a convective heat transfer solution using water bath technology, which leads to improve the
performance by 20%.

Core XY:

 Implemented inventory management system in the commercial merchandisers.

 Scanned the whole merchandiser with a single TOF (Time of Flight) sensor using the Core XY mechanism.
 The mechanism helped to reduce the number of sensors from 30 to 1 & real time data were sent to the customer to
analyze the market trend & inventory.
 Filed a provisional patent for the Inventory management method in this application.

Flavored Milk Project:

 Designed and developed a flavored milk dispenser using the exiting refrigeration cabinet.
 Conducted casual draw test to optimize the brix value by adjusting the flow rate & analyzing the product viscosity.
 4 artificial flavors & carbonated milk options were included based on the taste test results.
 Installed the field trial units & improved the performance based on the feedback.

MS & ENGINEERING PROJECTS:

 PACE Collaborative project- Reconfigurable Shared Mobility Systems Jul/2014 – Apr/2015
 Optimize the stress concentration on a robotic arm Aug/2014 – Dec/2014
 SAE INDIA – BAJA Aug/2011 – Feb/2012

LEADERSHIP AND TEAMWORK:

 Lead the team of 8 interns on a valve group project at Cornelius Inc. Glendale Heights
 Represented the Innovation segment as a Technical lead in the custom beverage install at DRINK, American
Eagle Outlet, Times Square, NY and also at Cleveland Ave, Downtown Chicago.
 Received “PAT ON BACK” award for the project “IDC PRO 255” at Marmon Food and Beverage India Pvt
Ltd. Bangalore, India
 Received “Best Event Organizer-2012” award from Marmon Food and Beverage Technologies India Private
Limited.
