DESIGN INPUTS (TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS)

Summary
The following supports such as the coverage of the design project, duration of the project, constraints, issues
and concerns will be explained to provide a good quality information about the project. The project coverage
of the design should focus on the whole development of the project, including elements such as the
mechanical strength of the transmission and the conductor to be used. Learning more about these elements
will help the project to improve to avoid unexpected situations such as in a foul weather condition. The
duration of the project should also consider. The duration of the project should be complying as the client
condition which are the cooperatives of each substation. There will be more project to finish if the duration of
the main project was followed. Correct duration of the project outputs to correct procedures done in making
transmission lines, thus will make the transmission line reliable. The next one to be considered in this project
is the constraint. There are many aspects that have been affected by the transmission line. The project should
defend the constraint by stating that it followed a correct standard. The last element to consider are the issues
and concerns about making transmission lines between two substations. If the procedure in interconnecting
transmission has issues, there should be an adjustment done to make sure that the transmission line will be
good in performance. If there are concerns in making transmission line, it should be re-observed as soon as
possible and pinpoint the factors affecting transmission lines.
Scope of the Project
The interconnection of the two substation which are PELCO 1 substation and Meralco substation should be
done enough and should follow standards such as the span of the transmission line in a voltage level. The
scope of the project is to solve these problems for the effective transmission line and exact duration of the
project. There are two routes to be considered which are the overhead transmission and underwater
transmission line. Overhead transmission line is the transmission of electricity above the ground and usually
has higher voltage level than the underwater transmission line. While the underwater transmission line is the
transmission line under the surface of the water and usually doesn’t have a sag and tension.
