Li2 Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is founded by alumni of IITs and IISc, who have strong passion in the
fields of science and technology. The idea of starting Li2-Innovations germinated from the fact
that Indian academic system predominantly focused on theoretical class room learning approach
with little scope for the practical application of theory.

During workshops, we motivate students to think beyond books and encourage them to apply the
academic learning to product design and development. Our relationship with students continues
even after the workshop where we offer online and offline technical support to convert their
ideas into reality.

Li2 Team Profile

Vijay Chandrakar: Vijay is an IIT Chennai B-Tech graduate. After
graduation in 2004, he has worked in HPCL Refinery in Visakhapatnam,
ZS Associates in New York. He had a short stint with Milagrow
Business and Knowledge Solutions where he headed the Bangalore
division. A robotics enthusiast since college days embarked on the
entrepreneurial journey when he founded Li2-Innovations in 2008. Vijay
has special interest in the areas of image processing and has built various
applications and robots pertaining to those areas. Vijay has trained more
than 1000 students from various engineering colleges in the areas of
robotics and physical computing.

Arvind Nadig: Arvind is a 2005 engineering graduate from MSRIT,

Bangalore. He worked with CTS, Chennai after graduation and moved
to the US, where he handled the IT operations of one of the largest
insurance firms. Arvind is a second time entrepreneur, who before
founding Li2-Innovations, started and managed FOSSI (Focus On Small
Scale Industries), a technical and management consulting firm catering
to the needs of the micro, small and medium enterprises. Arvind has
expertise in manufacturing and design and done numerous projects
related to automation of convention machines and manufacturing
process optimization. Arvind has training and coaching experience of
more than a year in the fields of mechanical robots and automation
systems.

Sumeet Yamdagni received a Masters Degree in Instrumentation from

the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. His expertise lies in the areas
of embedded systems, instrumentation and mechano-optics. He has also
researched extensively on optical sensor technology and
instrumentation. He was a member of the Pan Indian “Freedom to
Innovate Competition” 2005 organized by Honeywell India.

Amit Jha holds a B-Tech degree from IIT Madras and M.S. from Penn
State University. He is the Chief Technical Adviser of the company and his
areas of research include Analog Circuits Design, Image Processing and
System Automation. He is a member of Technical Staff in Maxim Integrated
Products. He is currently leading the group in the fields of EDA tools
development, verilog-a design, reliability and device modeling in India
Circuit Design Center, Bangalore. During his graduate years in Penn State University, he worked
on compact modeling of MOSFET as a part of PSP group. the current industry standard for MOS
transistor model. In his undergraduate years in IIT Madras, he worked on circuit performance
issues in SiC based MOS transistors due to interface traps with part of the work as a visiting
researcher in INSA, Lyon. He has published in refereed journals and conferences and, has won
many scholarships and awards.

Dr.Subba Shankar is the Chief Mentor of Li2. Dr. Shankar received his
PhD in Neuroscience from Case Western Reserve University, as well as his
MS in Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Shankar is an inductee into the NASA
Space Technology Hall of Fame and the recipient of the Nortech Innovation
Award. Dr. Shankar has more than 10 years experience in developing
medical devices with 5 commercial products to his credit. He is based out of
the US and currently holds the posts of Chief Technology Officer of Vasolux MicroSystems,
LLC and Clear Image Technology, LLC.
