Activity regulations
B-QUIZ (0930 am to 01pm on 06.10.10)
Conditions:
• Elimination round (written test)
• 08 teams will qualify for Semi Final round
• 04 teams to qualify for Final round (for 1st & 2nd winner)
• Max 02 participants in one team
• 02 teams from one institute are allowed
• Questions related to current corporate affairs, advertisements etc will be posed,
journals like BS, ET, 4Ps, Nafa-nuksaan, etc will be helpful source of information
• 1st and 2nd winners will be awarded

Brand antakshari (0930 am to 11pm on 06.10.10)

Conditions:
• 05 rounds in all, after each round two teams with least marks will be eliminated and
the remaining kept for subsequent rounds
• No. of Rounds will be amended subject to no. of teams appeared
• 02 participants in one team
• 02 team from one institute is allowed
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner will be awarded

AD-MAD (11 am to 01pm on 06.10.10)

AD-
Conditions:
• Global Warming, Fight Diabetes, Be Vegetarian, Help Disabled, No Smoking,
Donate Blood, Save Oil, Cosmetics, TV News Channel. (select any one theme)
• Justifying the theme selected through effective role playing, CDs can be brought, if
required, for effective team performance.
• 01 team comprises of 03p - 04p
• 01 team from one institute is allowed
• Time Duration: Maximum 05 minutes
• Participants will bring the properties used by them during the performance,
technical aids will be provided if required
• 1st & 2nd winner will be awarded
MEHNDI (930 am to 1130 am on 06.10.10)
Conditions:
• Team could choose their own theme.
• Beautifying both palms is a must.
• Mehndi will be provided by the JIET
• Maximum 02 female participants in a team, one will decorate another’s palm.
• 02 teams from one institute are allowed.
• Time duration: 90 minutes

1st, 2nd and 3rd winner will be awarded

DEBATE (0230 am to 0400 pm on 06.10.10)

Conditions:
• Topic “Mass Communication or Media, are playing a significant role in building
healthy public opinion in society” (for or against)
• Maximum 02 participant (one for FOR & one in AGAINST from one institute)
• Time Duration: 04min. + 01min
• 1st & 2nd for FOR and 1st & 2nd for AGAINST will be awarded separately

Fine Art Exhibition (10 am to 04 pm on 06.10.10 and 08 am to 04 pm on 07.10.10)

Conditions:
• Creation of some painting (sketch or color), craft work (clay, iron, wood,
cardboard, etc), sculpture (wood & stone), embroidery and any creativity of special
talent is invited to participate
• Bring your own exhibition and keep in the ‘Exhibition Room’ by 0930 am on
06.10.10
• Exhibition Room will be open for audience response from 10 am to 04 pm on
06.10.10 and 08 am to 04 pm on 07.10.10
• Best & Most appreciated work will be the winner (1st & 2nd winner will be
awarded); results will be announced on 07.10.10 after 04 pm
• 02 participant in one team
• 02 team from one institute is allowed
SKIT (0230 pm to 0330 pm on 06.10.10)
Conditions:
• The teams can select / develop their script on the basis of various themes such as
racial disparities, women empowerment, student-teacher harmony, a couple, politics,
bureaucracy, exploitation, a beggar etc with humor or sarcastic or message appeal; the
team should observe past news articles, TV shows etc to develop a script.
• 01 team only from one institute is allowed
• 01 team comprises of 03p - 04p
• Time Duration: Maximum 10 minutes
• All properties to be brought & arranged by the team itself
• 1st & 2nd winner will be awarded

SOLO DANCE (0330 pm to 0500 pm on 06.10.10)

Conditions:
• 02 participant (boy or girl in any combination) from one institute is allowed
• Dance on any rocking / latest song are welcome
• Selected song on CDs will be brought by the participants along with
• Decision of the organizer / judge will be the final, in case participants are observed
to cross limits in their body language
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner will be awarded

Duet dance (0500 pm to 0630 pm on 06.10.10)

Conditions:
• 02 participant in a team; 01 team from one institute is allowed
• Dance on any rocking / latest song are welcome
• Selected song on CDs will be brought by the participants along with
• Decision of the organizer / judge will be the final, in case participants are observed
to cross limits through their body language while dancing
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner will be awarded
Unique business idea (09 am to 1100 am on 07.10.10)
Conditions:
• The activity requires an entrepreneurial aptitude and presentation skills
• One hard copy of 01 page Executive Summary should be submitted to Activity
Convener on 06.10.10 i.e, on your arrival at registration desk. (hint; underlying
product / service idea uniqueness, target consumers, marketing framework,
foreseeing problems & its solution, status of competition, revenue forecast, types of
resources required and the like)
• Maximum 02 - 04 members can participate in one team
• 02 teams from one institute are allowed
• Time Duration: max. 08 minutes
• 1st, and 2nd winner will be awarded

CASE Analysis (09 am to 12 pm on 07.10.10)

Conditions:
• Case Studies will be on Strategic Management, OB, HR, and Marketing.
• Case studies to the participants will be distributed on 07.10.10 at 08 am
• 02 participants in one team
• 01 team from one institute is allowed
• Time Duration: max. 10 minutes for presentation
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner will be awarded

PRINT AD (09 am to 11 am on 07.10.10)

Conditions:
• A product or service will be given on the spot
• Chart Sheets will be provided by the JIET
• Participants need to bring the print materials along with, sketch pen, and / or other
decorative aids.
• 01 team comprises of 03p - 04p
• 02 teams from one institute are allowed
• Time Duration: 90 minutes max.
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner will be awarded
 SELLING (11 am to 01 am on 07.10.10) – Mr Abhishek Soni
PERSONAL SELLING
Conditions:
• ACTIVITY CONVENER: Dr Punita Soni & Ms Shilpi Kulsreshta
• 02 participants from one institute are allowed (individual participants)
• All the participants will have to choose a product or service from an AD-Cut in the
beginning of the session.
• Assume yourself as a Salesman of the chosen advertised product or service.
• Present the contents of the same Ad verbally (without looking into the cutting)
• Assume all the audience as your prospective customers
• Time Duration: 03 minutes max.
• 1st & 2nd winners will be awarded

khanna’ (0230 pm to 0330 pm on 07.10.10)

first superstar ‘rajesh khanna’
Conditions:
• RAJESH KHANNA – a legend actor in Indian Films, started his film career in 1966
with film ‘Akhari Khat’ but got success in 1969 with films ‘Do Raaste’ and
‘Aradhana’. Born on 29th Dec. 1942.
• Participant team members will select a song (in a CD) from the films (1965 to 1985)
of the living Superstar RAJESH KHANNA and have to enact & dance upon it
• Minimum 02 participant in a team
• 01 team from one institute is allowed
• 1st & 2nd winners will be awarded

Fashion show (0330 pm to 0530 pm on 07.10.10)

Conditions: General Guidelines:
o 01 team from one institute is allowed (inclusive of students from both BBA & MBA)
o The fashion show will be organized in two rounds
o Team will have equal number of male and female participants
o Any form of obscenity will result in debarring the team from further participation
o All clothes and accessories are to be arranged by the participating team
o Dressing Room will be provided
o 1st & 2nd Winning teams will be awarded
 • Round I – Best Fashion Choreography:
o TRADITIONAL / CULTURAL Designer dresses – is the theme
o Bring your own musical theme based CD
o Choreography will be done by the team members only
o Maximum number of participants per team is six (6)
o In this round there will be two team winners
o Time Duration: max. 04 minutes per team
o Judgment criteria:
 Well choreographed ramp walk
 Fashion attire
 Creativity and Originality
 Selection of music and choreography
 Time management
• Round II – For Mr. ABHIVYANJANA’10 and Miss ABHIVYANJANA’10:
o Individual participants (one girl and one boy from the team itself)
o Teams have to nominate from amongst, two candidates (one girl and one boy)
for Round II beforehand. And one member only, if the institution is solely
women’s
o Faculty members will guide a musical track & choreography for Round II;
sufficient time for rehearsal will be provided
o Judgment criteria –
 Personality Test (verbal Q & Ans)
 Attitude (through observation by the judges)
 Rampwalk (bodylanguage)

GROUP DANCE (0530 pm to 0700 pm on 07.10.10)

Conditions:
• Dance on any one theme (classical, semi-classical, hip-hop, rock, filmy etc.)
• Participants need to bring audio CD and carry their own properties used during the
performance
• Use of fire in any form is strictly prohibited on stage except ‘candles or deepak’
(kindly inform in advance to organizers)
• 04-06participants in one team
• 01 team from one institute is allowed
• 1st, and 2nd winners will be awarded
