All offical correspondence should be addressed to: ar The Council Secretary/Chief Executive KNEC/GEN/RES/ARCH/ADV/54 GUIDELINES ON VERIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION OF EXAMINATION RESULTS 1.0 BACKGROUND The Kenya National Examinations Council [KNEC] has clearly laid down rules and regulations regarding confirmation of the Kenya National Examinations Council results. Persons requiring this service must apply in writing and can obtain application forms from KNEC, Archives and Records Office located at Mitihani House - Mombasa Road or the KNEC website yoww.knec.ac.ke. The applicant must provide the following information:- 1.1 The exact names used during the examination. Applications with differing names will NOT be processed, 1.2 The applicant's (candidate's) full index number. 1.3. The level and the year of examination. In the case of Technical, Business and London G.C.E. examinations, the series (i.e. month of the year) should be included. 1.4 The name of the school/centre where the examination was taken. 1.5 A copy of the cerificate (s) to be confirmed. (Mandatory). Result sips may be presented for all examinations except for the CPE/KCPE examinations. 1.6 Full address of the employer or institution where the statement of examination results is to be sent. 17 Personal file number, reference or admission number where applicable. 1.8 The employers/insttutions can confidentially suomit the cerfifcates/resutt sips of their employees or students for verification if they are in doubt. Stotements of Examination Results ore siictly for use by the employer or an institution ‘ond therefore cannot be given or copied to the candidate/parent/auardian or any other individual (3). * Please note that a Statement of Examination Results s NOT a certificate Statements of Examination Results should NOT be re-touted from one organization to nother. Deposit bank sips MUST be presented within twelve (12) months after deposit. Deposit ‘bank slips presented twelve (12) months after banking will NOT BE ACCEPTED ond there shall be NO REFUND, Incomplete application forms will NOT be processed. ‘SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR BUSINESS, SINGLE AND GROUP EXAMINATION at Single and Group cerlificates will be charged per stage at KES 2,320/= per ‘application. This wil only be applicable when all or patts of the certificates in a given stage are presented together in one application. e.g, Stage | ~ KES 2,320/=, Stage II ~ KES 2,320/=, Stage ill - KES 2,320/: PROCESSING AND DELIVERY 5 52 53 It tokes TEN (10) working days to process and dispatch the statement. Older ‘examinations may take longer. Statements are normally dispatched through registered mail at no extra cost However, those wishing to use coutier services willbe charged according to the distance of the destination. Clients are expected to meet the extra cost. Those wishing to use fax services will be charged an exira cost KES 928/- within Kenya cnd KES 1,392/- outside Kenya as shown in the table obove. Applicants must include their contact address and mobile numbers so that they can be contacted where clarification is required, All requests for confimation of results should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Kenya National Examinations Council Further enquities may be sent to the Chief Executive Officer, Kenya National Examinations Council.
