As a whole for the Oracle Corporation

Leads to high uncertainty.
Main Problem

1. Organizational Structure
• What they do: restructuring HGBU division (Regional to Globalisation –
project)
• Intention: Standardized for all BU for easier management
• Division no longer follow product, but follow industry (bonus is no longer
• share by country revenue, bonus now share globally by its own division)
• Example: Any project can be done by any country office
• Expected Result: Project implementation more efficient in long run
• Unexpected Result: Many staff resign during transition restructuring
process
Main Problem

2. Organizational Culture

• What they do: O Self Service culture (internal web)

• Intention: Self manage employee (everyone must independent)
• Example: buy laptop, order business card, create case internally instead
of asking help (not verbally talk, all go to case) from colleagues/internal
support
• Expected result: Employee able to do work with minimal supervision, find
solution yourself instead of asking around
• Unexpected result: Weak rapport building among employees
Consequences

1. Competitive among different division

• each division only take care on its division because bonus is share only its
own division globally
• Some division is rich, some division is poor

2. Competitive among the same division

• Project Consultants grab awaiting project in internal web to prove him/

her contributing to the organization (KPI). Example: At least 3 days in one
week is attach to a project
