Course Description
Water quality parameters, estimating the quantity of water and wastewater, water treatment process,
Planning and Design of water supply networks, wastewater characteristics, Planning and Design of
sanitary and storm sewers, introduction to process of waste water treatment.

Course Goals and Objectives


1 To provide the understanding of the principals of water supply engineering.
2 Understand water purification and wastewater treatment processes.
3 Capable to design water supply networks.
4 Design sanitary and storm sewers.

Course Outcomes
1 Understand the principals of pre-design studies for water supply networks and sanitary sewers networks.
2 Acquire the basic knowledge about distribution networks planning.
3 Be familiar with the different units in the water supply networks.
4 Design sanitary and storm sewers.
5 Solve existing water supply networks.
6 Deal with more advanced water supply networks and estimate the costs.
