THEME:
“PHILIPPINE ARCHITECTURE: The Epitome of Ingenuity and Sustainability”

FINAL REQUIREMENTS
After passing the Architectural Design 10 final thesis deliberation, the student must comply the following
requirements:
1.1 Participation in the Thesis Exhibit
1.2 Hard Bound Thesis Book (1 Copy)
1.3 Ring Bound A3 Size Architectural Translation Portfolio (1 Copy)
1.4 E-file of all thesis files in DVD

1.1 THESIS EXHIBIT


All Design 10 Thesis passers must participate and present their work during the set date for Thesis
Exhibit. All defense presentation materials must be presented again during the Thesis Exhibit –
presentation boards, powerpoint, scaled model, etc.

1.2 THESIS BOOK


Compliance on the thesis book shall be based on the comment of the panel of jurors during the thesis
deliberations which shall be incorporated before the student binds one (1) set of thesis book for
submission.

About the Proponent (TIP format resume with 2x2 Picture in Corporate attire)

* Thesis book format for Architectural Research-Based shall adapt the form and style for the preparation of
Research Reports being used by the TIP Research Community, which is an integral part of this manual
(Annex A).
1.3 RINGBIND PORTFOLIO

The portfolio shall be in A3 size with clear plastic front cover and maroon back cover.

Contents shall be:

- Cover page (Include school name, proponent’s name, batch date, & adviser)
- Table of Contents
o Project Description
o Diagrams (Site Analysis, Zoning, Circulation, etc)
o Architectural Design Conceptualization (Design Concept, Form Concept & Translation,
Structural Concept, Material Concept, Design Philosophy, Design Considerations)
o Site Development Plan
o Aerial Perspective and other perspective drawings
o Elevations
o Sections
o Floor Plans (minimum scale is 1:200m. Use key plan if necessary)
o Architectural Space Programming
o Development Controls vs. As-Planned

6.4 E-FILE DVD


The DVD format shall contain the electronic files of all the thesis presentation materials in jpeg, dwg,
videos and PDF formats; and the thesis book in MS Word and PDF format.
