ANALYSIS
COMPARISON OF PROJECTED INCOME, PROJECTED EXPENSE, ACTUAL
INCOME ACTUAL EXPENSE

In both the projected and actual income and expenditure there was surplus. The projected
income was $2400, the projected expenditure was $1670 and the projected surplus was $730.
The actual income was $1290, the actual expenditure was $320 and the actual surplus was $970.
The surplus between the projected profit and actual profit was $240. The reason for this was
because the actual expenditure was decreased and thus the actual income had increased because
labor was not needed. Since labor was not needed the actual expenditure had decreased.

GENERAL COMMENTS
This School Based Assignment was carried out perfectly. There was proper maintenance
of the pak choi plants. They were regularly watered and weeds were also pulled out regularly.
The plants were also very healthy. The produce was sold to the school canteen with the help of
our agricultural science teacher.
13

CONCLUSION
The pak choi plants were successfully cultivated with a profit of $970 which was made with the
actual income being $1290 and the actual expense being $320.

RECOMMENDATION
 The planting area should be ploughed and tilled properly so as to break up the clumps of
soil.
