Expansion of vertical TL line

Philips is number one in global lighting market. It enjoys a position supported by leadership in innovation combined with a
systematic approach for seeking out new market opportunities. Its strategic ambition is to set pace in the lighting industry as
the first-choice innovative partner for the supply of creative and cost effective lighting solutions. Keeping in view the strategy,
a new vertical TL line has been installed lately at Philips light factory. The new TL line adds to the comfort of the factory
worker, giving them ease to work and helping them increase the productivity. With this progression the lamp production has
increased remarkably and the overhead cost of the tubes has also decreased.

It is an apt beginning, paving the way to an even brighter future for the organization as well as for the country. In short, following
its core values, Delight Customers, Deliver on Commitments, Develop People and Depend on each other this step was taken.
However, there are more new and innovative plans under consideration.

Star Employee
Shakeel Anwer -Working For Philips
Shakeel Anwer is one of the most hard working souls, seen on foot throughout the working
hours. Unlikely, he is always motivated towards learning and moving ahead and has been blessed with a
lot of many such qualities that not many people belonging to the same class possess. He is always in time
and is ready to do anything, anytime and that even quite comfortably. He has been a part of Philips for
the past 8 years. He worked for the Sales department- Philips Lighting before being associated with
the department of Light Marketing. In his view Philips is an ideal place to work, especially the people at
Philips. The sense of being treated equally is one of the prime factors in keeping his strings attached with the organization for
some 8 years. Despite many shortcomings, he has been living his personal life successfully with his wife and a 2 years old
daughter. Inshort, Shakeel Anwer is amongst those very few people who deserve to be praised for their well being and personal
conduct.

Philips introduces LED Lighting

LEDs have come a long way since they were invented, finding
uses imaginable just a few years ago. LED lights last up to 100
times longer and are up to three times more efficient than
today’s standard incandescent bulbs. It is no wonder why
LEDs are making a breakthrough into today’s everyday lighting
applications.

Until recently, Light Emitting Diodes (LED) were just the little
lights that told you your printer was ON, or that you had a
Message on your answering machine but today the situation
is a little different.

LEDs work on the principle of electro luminescence. They

are long lasting with low power consumption. Apart from
long life, and powerful light output, this new concept offers
properties such as small size, instant response, low voltage zonnebloempark
application and a semiconductor nature.
We are thus proud to introduce and work on the newer concept. This new trend meets and beats the highest of expectations.
With this new concept, you are assured of high quality lighting be it on roads, on roofs or on streets; you can even create a
wall of light with this emerging technology.
This small technology is also used for floodlighting generating a striking effect due to monochromatic colors specific to this
new technology. The purity and saturation of color is often surprising in comparison with those obtained conventionally.

LED lights are rapidly becoming a smart solution that is saving cities, and towns millions of dollars and thousands of megawatt-
hours a year. One can save a utility bill by converting high wattage lighting with Philips LED solution. Because it operates on
lower voltage and draws less current, it can save up to 90% of the electricity consumed by the ordinary incandescent lamp,
and last up to 10 times longer than them.

Concluding, LED is the efficient way revolutionizing the concept of lighting and expanding the original creative vision.
