Other Descriptions

Since the foundation in 1976, our institution has endeavored to expand our services as a
regional welfare base and has functioned as the core facility of the corporation (which
consists of two special elderly nursing homes, one independent day service center, one
group home for demented elderly persons, one regional comprehensive support center,
one nursery school, etc.). With regard to dementia in particular, we opened a
specialized ward (with a capacity of 50) in 1988 (there is no other ward specialized in
dementia in the prefecture) and accepted more than 1,300 interns as a prefecture-
designated nursing training center for dementia sufferers. In this way, we have
pioneered in nursing of dementia sufferers. In 2001, imperial donation was given to our
institution as an elite welfare institution.

Our corporation was established based on a corporation (which provides medical

Comments services) founded in 1955. The group consists of three corporations and more than 20
institutions, including its four hospitals, elderly health institution and nurse training
center and another affiliated welfare corporation’s two special elderly nursing homes.
The group members are promoting mutual cooperation and the integration with the
local people, aiming to total health care consisting of regional health care, medical care
and welfare.
