Other Descriptions
Since the foundation in 1976, our institution has endeavored to expand our services as a
regional welfare base and has functioned as the core facility of the corporation (which
consists of two special elderly nursing homes, one independent day service center, one
group home for demented elderly persons, one regional comprehensive support center,
one nursery school, etc.). With regard to dementia in particular, we opened a
specialized ward (with a capacity of 50) in 1988 (there is no other ward specialized in
dementia in the prefecture) and accepted more than 1,300 interns as a prefecture-
designated nursing training center for dementia sufferers. In this way, we have
pioneered in nursing of dementia sufferers. In 2001, imperial donation was given to our
institution as an elite welfare institution.
