General Information
Description
The course is designed to enable beginner to intermediate level music education in terms of using the steel
string/acoustic guitar as a medium of expression, allowing students to learn, play along, perform, read and write music
from basic up to upper intermediates.

Expectations and Goals


The primary goal of this syllabus is to allow students to have excellent grasp of music and musical concepts (theory and
practical), build a better foundation and moreover to create better musicians overall.
It also, expected to relax the students by helping them in achieving their musical goals and aspirations and from day to
day stresses too.

Course Materials
Required Materials
The following are essential and integral towards the successful completion of the course:
 Steel string/Acoustic guitar.
 Plectrums/guitar picks.
 Notebook (single ruled).
 Manuscript book/music notation book.
 Guitar tuner (electronic clip-type).

Optional Materials
Few optional materials may be procured to enhance the experience provided by the course:
 Guitar strap.
 Metronome.
 Slide.
 Good quality guitar carry case/gig bag.
