1. Read aloud with proper intonation.
2. Obtain information from a linear/non-linear text by filling in the blanks
3. Able to find meaning of unfamiliar words from a variety of sources for
example dictionary or thesaurus.
Pedagogical Strategy: Contextual learning, verbal-linguistics skills
Language Item: Subject-Verb agreement, simple present tense, adjectives, vocabulary:
searching for the meaning of words using a dictionary
Activities: 1. Discussion and reviews of students’ answers for Chapter 2.
2. Grammar exercise in between discussion to reinforce students’ grammar
knowledge on selected grammar items (Articles “a”, “an” and “the”)
