Personal Statement
I am conscientious, hardworking, honest and a flexible team player, I have experience working as a chalet manager in the French Alps
where i was responsible for the well beng of eighteen guests under my supervision the job role entailed cooking a four course meal for the guests, providing
lunch and a full course English breakfast along with afternoon tea and cakes and aperitifs. The job also included stock control, accounting
and maintaining the chalet and waitressing. The work incoroprated chamber maiding as the rooms had to be kept tidy daily with fresh linen, towels
and duvets provided.
Additionally I ran a business from home selling our own studio apartment for rent this involved lisaing with clients and staff alike to keep the
strudio clean and tidy ready for guests on changeover day. This work allowed me to use my business studies acumen as i made a business plan for the
business which encompassed all aspects of business formation incuding market research, finance, operations managemenmt and marketing.
Furthermore, I worked for as a chalet maid for the metropol hotel in Brighton this work included bed making, cleaning and servicing
bedrooms. Here i worked to a dedicated time schedule under authority of the senior housekeeper.
I also have experience working as a kitchen porter for Angela Samuels catering company which is a kosher catering company operating
in Hove here I was responsible for maintaing the dish washer, preparing food and distributing goods. I worked hard to acheive my goals
and was dedicated to setting a good working ethic.
During my time spent studying at university I worked as a till operator for SPAR the job entailed, locking up, operating the till, stock
replenishment, cashing up and lisasing with customers.
In 2000 to 2003 i worked as an outdoor activity instructor for skern lodge here i used my skills in outdoor pursuits to teach a wide variety of
outdoor sports to members of the public including schools, hen and stag weekends and business coperations. As course director I was responsible for liasing
with managment and staff, the structure of the course and of up to eighty individuals.
Since working in the outdoor pursuit industry I have become a stay at home mother of three children aged 7, 10 and 12, I have throuroughly
enjoyed maintaining my children and volunterring at the local sure start centre teaching baby massage and working as a breastfeeding consultant helping to
deliver antenatal classes and proivding weekly peer supprot both on the phone and in person.
In addition, I have worked at both the pre-school and school at Instow assisting the children to read and helping at the preschool as an
assistant.
Lastly, the most recent job that i have maintained is as a coffee barrister at a local coffee shop in Barnstaple, here I was responsible for locking up,
till operating, the dish washer, waitressing, stock control and liasing with customers and staff alike. I worked in a team of people under authority of the
senior barrista in a busy work environment and displayed good stamina.
From my time spent working in various job roles I have developed excellent interpersonal skills and customer service. I am ready to start
work from immediate affect and can work a flexible shift pattern.
