A. Define the following:

1. Management – the organizing and coordinating the activities of business to achieve goals. It
is the process of dealing people. Another definition is that management is process of
designing and maintaining an environment in which individual work together in groups to
accomplish selected aims effectively and efficiently. It coordinates current organizational
activities and plans of the company.
2. Government – is the governing body of the nation. It is necessary to the existence civilized
country. Government is the one that will impose laws, rules and regulations to business that
will allow the company to fulfill the social responsibility. It’s the supreme authority of the
nation.
3. Good Governance – is a set of rules or principles that is needed to be develop and exercise
in an entity so that whenever crisis or problem arises, the entity will know what to do.
Governance is process of decision-making and implementing decision. Good governance is
acceptable, participatory, responsive, transparent and follows the rule of law.
4. Social Responsibility – obligation of the management to make decisions and actions that
will benefit the welfare of the society. It is the duty that every individual should perform to
maintain balance between economy and the ecosystem.

B. What’s the relationship between management, government, good governance, and social
responsibility?

In all organization, we need management to achieve aims and goals. The highest governing
organization is probably the government because they control and deals with people. Our
government have to make decisions that may be vital to the welfare of everybody. With that, a
good governance must be established and exercised to have a progressive country and people.
Our government must help and assist us in our needs us human. There is a good governance
if there’s no corruption. With what I’m seeing right now is completely opposite in what should be a
good government should do. Corrupt officials are everywhere. They are not ashamed on what they
do, some are still in a high position and imposing laws about corruption where they’re corrupt
officials themselves.
A good management and governance of the government will surely improve the lives of the
citizens by exercising their social responsibility. In return, people will do things much better to our
country.

Explanation:

With proper management of the government, the respective officials and authorities
can create a good governance that they may implement and will allow any organization to
fulfill their social responsibility to the society they belong. If everything takes place, the result
will be progressive country and people.

Management is dealing and controlling with people and government is a great

example of management. It controls and imposes laws to the people. It strategizes, develops
and exercises sets of rules that’s called a good governance. Government is a powerful body so
they can control the organizations in contributing to the prosperity of the country such as
having the social responsibility. The obligation of the management such as our government is to
make decisions and actions that will benefit all levels in our country – the Philippines to the
progressiveness.
