ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
This is to place on record our appreciation and deep
gratitude to the persons without whose support this
project would never been seen the light of the day .We
express my sincere thanks to Prof.V.J PATEL, Head of
the Department, Computer Engineering, GECD for
extending his help .We have immense pleasure in
expressing thanks and deep sense of gratitude to my
guided by VIHARIKA CHAUDHARI and all the Faculty in
Computer Engineering, GECD for his valuable
suggestion and guidance throughout this
project. Finally at the outset we would like to thank all
those who have directly or indirectly helped us
accomplish our project successfully.

1)DESCRIPTION:

 This project is designed to reduce water problem of a particular

village.

 Due to increase in amount of population, water need of that

area is increasing, due to irregular supply of water by local

government ,this project will help to provide water from sump

which is located at background of our college to that particular

village

 Identify options to provide water supply to residence of that

area

 Analyses the water system with respect to storage volume

requirement under existing and future condition. Identify of

location option for additional storage.

 It will also increase the agriculture of growth of that area

because other main ideology also relates to water harvestmen.

2) INTRODUCTION:
What is design?

Design is a plan of a system, its implementation and utilizationfor

attaining a goal. It is to change undesired situation into desired

situationmeans to find solution for undesired/uncomfortable

situation.

Designs can be for:

(1) Technical systems (pond system, photo bio reactors)

(2) Educational systems (Montessori Method)

(3) Aesthetic systems (logo designs, advertisements)

(4) Legal systems

(5) Social, religious or cultural systems

(6) Theories, Models, etc.

Design thinking gives students a taste of the rich internal-

remunerationsassociated with knowledge-creation and in curiosity

and problem-driven contexts.

Design need to satisfy technical functions, ergonomics functions,

aestheticfunctions, cost function and environment functions.

2.1)Essential features of Design:

Design solution of a problem starts with planned constructions for

achievinggoals. Designing means evolving goal oriented processes.

At the beginning ofthe design process only goals are known while

at the end, both the goals andplans are known and that to with

more clarity. Goal and plans evolve together andthey influencing

each other. In designing process some goals are more

importantthan others and similarly some plans are better than

others.

 Design thinking process:

 Find goals or need

 Evaluate goals or need

 Generate proposals to satisfy goals

 Evaluate proposals

 Improve goals and proposals

Our product aim is to provide water to chhapari village from a

sump which is at a back side os our government engineering college

dahod in a such way that water shortage problem of village is

solved. Our main aim of project is to provide clean water with use

of basic technology in such that overall cost of project is reduce

andits is more beneficial to local people of village.

2.2) Our journey so far:

In third and forth semester, we had visited through out

village and collected various information related to project

such as user, environment of village, what kind of work

people perform etc.

We have collected various information related to whole

village from various people at different location, from that

we have got our product which is to provide clean and

portable water to that village. Some of our previous study

and work are as below.

 Worker to engineer
 Engineer to contractor
 Finishing work
 JCB digging the land for work
 Site inspector inspecting the site
 Preparation of mortar
 Surveyor is surveying the land

 STORY:
HAPPY STORY

 Near our construction site, raw materials were easy available more in
proportion due to which overall cost of transportation was reduce.
 During planning of project there was a dispute about place for laying
pipes which was solved by village head by providing land.

SAD STORY

 Working was going on and JCB stop working due to some technical
problem which increase cost and time of work.
 While working at various place water seepage where seen and that
caused problem to the work.
