Course Description: The first course in the study of Japanese language & culture.
Course Objectives: At the end of the course, the learners are expected to:
1 Read and write all of the Hiragana; Katakana and at least 15 Kanji characters.
2 Comprehend & compose simple sentences in Japanese.
3 Be familiar and gain an appreciation of Japanese language & culture.
4 Be able to conduct a simple conversation in Japanese.
5 Reply/react appropriately to a situation using simple Japanese.
