Summary
At 16 years old, I currently attend Beaumont High School and I am in my junior year, but I also am
enrolled in college courses at a local junior college. A majority of my time spent outside of the classroom
is devoted to volunteering, studying, or working for the Center for Cultural Understanding (CCU). My
time spent with CCU has taught me the values of communication, in both smaller interactions and larger
global communication. The demands of rigorous courses coupled with balancing the responsibilities of
society have helped me learn skills such as time management, collaboration, oration and delivery, formal
writing, diligence, and work ethic.

Education
Beaumont High School Beaumont, California
High School, College Enrolled
August 2015

Since the beginning of my high school career, I have taken opportunities to enroll in advanced courses
whenever possible: I have taken and plan to continue taking numerous honors and advanced placement
classes. Additionally, I have participated in a dual enrollment program in which I received both college
and high school credit. Academics have given me several practical skills, such as speaking, writing, and
peer collaboration. My involvement in several extracurriculars has allowed me the opportunity for
certification in first aid, suicide prevention, and other valuable skills.

Employment History
Center For Cultural Understanding Beaumont, California
Community Host Family Recruiter and Youth Program Supervisor June 2015 - Present

As an organization devoted toward a greater cultural understanding, CCU provided opportunities to see and
work with several foreign businesses. As a Host Family Recruiter, I work community outreach and
advertisement; several times a year I host presentations on my past traveling experiences with the company
and my experiences growing up with foreign exchange students in my home. As a youth program
supervisor, I help to plan, supervise, and accomplish the programs which typically happen bi-monthly.

the history of other nations and the society that they have developed into. In my free time, I enjoy reading

and spoken. I have placed in several speaking competitions, and some of my writings were published in a
