Sub: Procedure to migrate existing C-DOT TDM switches into MAX-NG under C-
DOT MAX Ng Project.
Ref.: No. 36-3/2017-NOW-CFA/MSE dated 21.07.2017 from NWO-CFA, BSNL CO

Kindlt find attach herewith a copy of provisional migration guidelines for


implementation of CDOT MAX NG Project in BSNL.

The list of activities are as mentioned below:

1. Procedure for number creation modification ITPC/ NCNGN
for C-DOT NG exchange (change in work order
flow in CDR)
2. Template for number creation data for CDOT/ NCNGN
migration site
3. Procedure for bulk updation of inventory i.e. ITPC
switch code and NE details in CDR.
4. Integration of CDR with NGN for automatic CDOT (Only for 2 sites per
connection and reconnection for DNP/RDNP circle) ITPC/ NCNGN (It
shall be RCNGN)
5. Preparation and handover of site specific ECIL/ BEL/BSNL migration
diagrams and maintenance procedures and team
training of staff
6. Preparation of migration data as per template Exchange In-change/ Circle
and sending to NGN for creation (07 days nodal team
before migration day)
7. Routing changes in other exchanges/ TAXs/ SSA/ Circle
Tandems
8. Intimation to customers (press note) SSA/ Area In-charge/ Circle
nodal team
9. Number creation (two days before migration) NCNGN (It shall be
and final correction one day before migration RCNGN)/ CDOT (only for 2
sites per Circle)

10. Verification of whether subscriber data is SSA/ Exchange In charge


properly created in CDOT-NG system for all the
parameters in template.
11. Testing before migration Exchange In charge
12. Keeping track of changes in subscriber data Exchange In charge
after number creation and sending the
modifications to NGN
13. Testing of routing at NGN core/ DR NCNGN (It shall be
functionality RCNGN)/ CDOT (only for 2
sites per Circle)
14. Test call to subscriber after migration and Exchange In charge
explanation of STD/ISD code registration

15. Updation of change in inventory data (switch Exchange In charge/ ITPC
code details ) in CDR

The formal migration guidelines will be issued by BSNL Corporate Office, New Delhi
shortly.
