CITY RESOLUTION NO. 2008-171

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER, THIS CITY TO

RELEASE THE YEAR-END BONUS AND CASH GIFT ON OR BEFORE
OCTOBER 31, 2008 TO ALL QUALIFIED OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF
THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF CABADBARAN, AGUSAN DEL NORTE
CHARGEABLE AGAINST THE APPROPRIATION FOR THIS PURPOSE
OF THE RESPECTIVE OFFICES FOR CY 2008.

WHEREAS, for several years now, the local and national governments
give half of the bonus and cash gift during mid-year and the other half
during year – end pursuant to R.A No. 6686, as amended by RA No. 8441;
WHEREAS, said benefits are granted to all qualified government officials
and employees as one way of recognizing their dedication and services rendered;
WHEREAS, this Body perceives the financial need of the city employees
particularly to those who have students to be used for necessary expenses
in the second semester;
WHEREAS, this Body also recognizes the other financial need of the
city employees which is the forthcoming celebration of the “All Saints and
Souls Days” wherein all have many things to prepare;
WHEREAS, the aforestated need to be considered have pushed this
August Body for the release of the last half year-end bonus and cash gift earlier
than the authorized date of its release;
WHEREAS, this Body knowing that funds is already appropriated for
such purpose, deems it appropriate to authorize the City Treasurer, this City for
the early release of the said year-end bonus and cash gift.

NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED, by the 1st Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 56 th
Regular Session assembled, to authorize the City Treasurer, this City to
release the year-end bonus and cash gift on or before October 31, 2008 to all
qualified officials and employees of the City Government of Cabadbaran, Agusan
del Norte chargeable against the appropriation for this purpose of the respective
offices for CY 2008.
RESOLVED FURTHER, to provide copies of this Resolution to the
City Treasurer, for appropriate action and the City Budget Officer; the City
Accountant and all city departments, all of this city, also for information and
guidance.
