Four Corners Young Adult Ministry (4C - YAM)

The Young Adult Ministry (YAM) is a new ministry created to help address the spiritual needs of a large community of
young adults attending Four Corners Ethiopian Evangelical Church.

Mission Statement
The Young Adult Ministry’s mission is to praise and glorify God, as well as gain an understanding of God's word and
teachings as it applies in our lives; to provide an open forum where young adults can meet regularly to discuss the various
spiritual issues our age group faces; to provide support and fellowship while keeping in the work of the Lord; to motivate
one another to maintain our walk of faith and continue to glorify God in all that we do; to be a social group of positive
influence, providing guidance, and direction towards purpose and self-discovery.

Four Core Values

Our core values reveal what is important to our ministry:

 Christ-like Children: Fulfilling God’s purpose for his people to be conformed to the image of his Son (Romans
8:29), we desire to grow in the likeness of Christ through prayer, holiness, and discipleship.

 Connection: Fulfilling God’s purpose for a relationship with Him and others (James 2:23, Ephesians 2:19), we
desire to have a personal relationship with Christ and to establish godly relationships with one another through
fellowship and service.

 Communication: Fulfilling God’s purpose for evangelism (Acts 1:8), we desire to lead unbelievers to Christ
through social outreach, one-on-one discipleship, and being an example.

 Coach: Fulfilling God’s purpose of Ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12), we desire to mentor the youth in our church and
community and set an example.

Activities:
 Volunteering twice a year (May and November)
o Feeding the homeless at Thanksgiving
o Donating to homeless shelters
o Visiting prisons, nursing homes, and women's shelter
 Monthly fellowship activity (last week of each month)
o Outings: Bowling, Plays, Skating, Spa Days, Movie Night
 4C YAM Bible Study
o Cell groups once a week
 Annual retreats (July 4 retreat)
 4C YAM Choir
 Evangelism twice a year(February and August)
