Describe your innovative project

Herbalism is a traditional medicine made to using a plants. In many cases, scientists aren’t sure what
specific ingredient herb works to treatment. Similarly to prescription drugs, a number of herbs are
cause adverse effects. Further, adulteration, inappropriate formulation, or lack of understanding
compounds of plant and interactions compounds. But there are no Validation method and review
literature. Plants have evolved variety of predators make contamination such as insects, fungi and
herbivorous mammals.
In our country, Indonesia. Shaman plays important role make regulation prescription herbal medicine
without notice amount leaves or dose ingredients, interaction compound plant.
We are ability to save community by making change formulation herbal medicine become proper
dose, minimize interaction, Save preserve useful plant therapy by shaman or etc., provides
employment for villagers in making herbal medicine such as Jamu. All of there base on safety,
efficacy, quality.
This project is first solutions for the problem because until now herbalism is ability; and we are have
Skill job to run review literature and finding biomarker compound of plants.

What are your project’s goals?

Building Good Manufacturing Practice of Herbal Medicine’s Information Board, Socializing and
training community about formulation plant medicinal with the amount fixed, dose leaf fixed,
interaction fixed, Invites medicine companies and Jeneponto regency government to produce that can
be immediately distributed to the community. We are initiated
• Forming a team and planning (2 weeks)
• Proposing a meeting and discussion with herbal medicine companies and Jeneponto government (1
Month)
• Surveying Prescription herbal medicine’s shaman with related diseases in Jeneponto Regency (2
weeks)
• Reviewing literature and Validation Phytochemical in Laboratory by Literature Team (2 months)
• Producing Good Manufacturing Practice of Herbal Medicine’s Information Board with related
diseases (2 months)
• Surveying Matching Indicator (2 weeks)
• Socializing and training community about Good Manufacturing Practice of Herbal Medicine product
programs (1 weeks)
• Producing Herbal Medicine product (2 months)
• Distributing products and monitoring (same)

What results do you anticipate?

Make agreement with government in particularly Jeneponto regency for help project programmers if
their will have problem in community.
Collaboration and agreement with herbal medicine companies for help and cover production and
distribution product problems or financial problem while mistake estimate calculation fund.
Socialization and Training the making process herbal medicine product by demo. This is help and
cover stalling program problem by project programmers. Its result studying village to village. Sensitize
villagers for use proper prescription herbal medicine.
We are make living pharmacy plant to get cultivation plants for herbal medicine product
Cooperation with Executive Council of Student major Pharmacy for Volunteers.

How will you measure success?

The project programs are have indicators of success. There are
1. The first survey phase for collecting information prescriptions of herbal medicine and related
diseases by shamans or villagers
2. Release Good Manufacturing Practice of Herbal Medicine’s Information Board and socialization
demo the making process proper herbal medicine product
3. The second survey phase for matching and comparison data between information from Herbal
Medicine’s Information Board, socializing, training the making process proper herbal medicine
product demo and information of the first survey phase.

The project program is successful if 75 percent of people in the village have understood and
actualized according to the results of the second survey phase
