User Interface
The various views, menus, toolbars and windows of the user interface, all are customizable, dockable and un-dockable:
Opening a design
When a design is measured on opening, the values in the Data window are populated automatically. This data can be edited manually if desired. All
data is calculated from the measured sections, visually checking the measured sections can be done by displaying the section contours (step 5).
Conducting a Resistance Analysis
There are a number of empirical methods and one analytical method for calculating the resistance of the design. To access the resistance prediction
options choose “Methods” from the “Analysis” menu. If an empirical method is chosen then the calculations will be done based on the input data in
the Data window (this data will have been either measured from the model automatically or edited manually by the user) and that is all that needs to
be done. Empirical methods are calculated immediately, in the case of the Analytical Slender Body method, this must be run manually because it is a
little more time consuming to evaluate.
