Positive Behavior and
Intervention Support
What is PBIS?
School-wide positive behavior and
intervention support (PBIS) is a broad
set of research-validated strategies
designed to create school environments
that promote and support appropriate
behavior of all students.
Core Principles
We can effectively teach appropriate
behavior to all children. All School-wide
PBIS practices are founded on the
assumption and belief that all children
can exhibit appropriate behavior.
