Academic Assistance

Extra Instruction (EI) – This is the first and most important action you should
take when encountering academic problems. If you are not grasping the
concepts taught in class, see your instructor. If your instructor cannot provide
enough assistance, you are encouraged to visit the department chair to learn
of other sources of help are available. Seeking help is not a sign of
capitulation; it is a mature response to a need. Don’t be embarrassed to ask
for help. The faculty has a high regard for midshipmen who seek assistance
and are always prepared to assist.
