Jindal Institute of Power Technology (JIPT) is recognized by Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power,
Government of India as Category I Institute. It is a part of US$ 18 billion O. P. Jindal Group. The Institute possesses world
class Simulators of 135 MW / 250 MW / 600 MW generating units & state of the art infrastructure. The Institute aims to
produce technically trained professionals for Power Utilities in India and abroad. The course authorizes the pass outs to
operate or undertake maintenance of any part or whole of a generating station of 100 MW & above capacity, together
with the associated sub stations.

Post Graduate Programme in Thermal Power

Technology (PGPTPT)
Eligibility: A full time 4 year BE / B. Tech degree from a
recognized Institute in Mechanical / Electrical / EEE /
Electronics / Control & Instrumentation Engineering with a
minimum of 60 % marks in BE / B. Tech. & 50% in X, XII
Age: Not more than 30 years as on July 01, 2017

Post Diploma Programme in Thermal Power
Technology (PDPTPT)
Eligibility: A 3 year diploma from a recognized Institute in
Mechanical / Electrical / EEE / Electronics / Control &
Instrumentation Engineering with a minimum of 45 %
marks in Class X / XII and 50 % Diploma.
Age: Not more than 28 years as on July 01, 2017
How to Apply: Application Form is available on JIPT Website
(www.jipt.org). The Application Form is to be filled online. A
Demand Draft (in favour of JIPT, payable at Raigarh) of INR
1000/- towards Application Fee is to be sent along with a print
copy of the duly filled in application form by Speed Post to
Jindal Institute of Power Technology, Tamnar, Raigarh - 496108.
Last Date to Apply: May 31, 2017
Selection Process: The candidates will be required to appear in
an Objective Type Written Test and Personal Interview.
Date of Admission Test: June 25, 2017
Test Centers: Baroda, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Hyderabad,
Chennai, Kolkata, Patna, Raigarh, Raipur & Ranchi.
Commencement of Programmes: August 07, 2017
Placements: Placement assistance is provided in the form of
campus interviews by various power utilities.
