My name is Miss Szymkiewicz and I have been Novice Teaching in Mrs. Scheirer’s class 
since the beginning of February. I am currently a junior at Bradley University studying 
Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I have been in the classroom for about 
two hours each day learning strategies and methods for teaching. I have worked with each 
student and have tried to support them in their learning needs. We have been working on 
lessons about rain, counting in a series, sinking or floating objects, why some objects roll, 
recognizing the letter “R”, printing the letter “R”, our sense of touch, the importance of 
stretching, letter identification, and practicing various exercises. Your child has helped me 
to grow as a teacher and learn by experience. My last day in this classroom is March 31st, 
so I wish your child the best for the remainder of the school year. I hope that your child 
benefitted from this experience as much as I have.
