Overview of the lesson:
Ms. Mariam’s objective of the lesson on that day was achieved. The lesson’s objective is to
identify friends in the school. She prepared instructional materials appropriate for the lesson
and for kindergarten kids. She starts the lesson by showing a short story and pupil’s attention
were attained. She uses PowerPoint presentation and flashcards for the lesson. After the
discussion, she gave differentiated activities appropriate for the level of each learners.
Overall, Ms. Mariam did a very good job. The student teacher mastery of the lesson is
evident.

Areas for development:

-She used short story in a powerpoint presentation to catch pupil’s attention for her
motivation.
-She shows puppet to introduce the lesson.
-She asks questions and received answer from the students showing that the students really
understand the lesson.
- After the lesson, she gave differentiated activities for each pupil’s level.

Focus for next lesson:

- Time management.
- Ask pupils more questions.

Strengths of the lesson:

The discussion was the strength because she really use her instructional materials well
that shows the children’s excitement for the lesson.

Areas for development:

The strategy that she used was excellent. Strategies like story for motivation and the
use of puppet to introduce the lesson in the discussion shows that the pupils are really
attentive and excited.
