ABSTRACT

This Research is an attempt to discuss some of the major dimensions of offences against
Children in Bangladesh. Different types of violence against children take place quite
frequently in Bangladesh such as Conception of Crimes against children in Bangladesh,
the teenage crime, teenage causes crimes, the Child Victimization, Typology of Child
Victimization, Causes and Factors Related to Child Victimization, Why Child
Victimization Is Increasing, the conception of Violence against children in Bangladesh,
the Reasons for violence against children, Steps by the Government to ensure the Safety
of Children, the Violence against Girls in Bangladesh, Child Abuse and the Recent
Trends in Bangladesh, about Child Abuse and The Child Act, 2013 8.1 Penalty for
Cruelty to Child, rape, gang rape, murder, forced prostitution, “Eve-teasing” etc. The
present paper, using data from various secondary sources, examines the nature, causes,
magnitude and trend of crimes against children in Bangladesh and to suggest some
recommendations for taking Steps by the Government to ensure the Safety of Children.
