Introduction
UCE is a Qatari Company, established in 1975 as one of the leading contracting companies in
Qatar. Since 1975, the Company, as a grade A contractor, has been actively engaged in roads
and infrastructure projects, Project Management, design and construction of high rise buildings,
schools, health centers, hotels, residential complexes, mosques and petrol stations.

UCE has its own facilities and plants. It fabricates portacabins and produces asphalt mixes.

apartments).

Underground Car Park


The project involved Construction, Completion and maintenance of Underground Car Park
Structure.
-The Main Structure included Parking lots, Exit blocks with lifts and Staircases,
Ramps, related services such as Electrical, Plumbing and Drainage Systems, Fire
Fighting and Ventilation system.
- Parking area in 1st and 2nd basement covers 11,600 m², each to house 487 Cars
and 238 Cars at Ground level.
- Pedestrian underpass connecting the 2nd basement level and the entry blocks
across the Al Rayyan road (built up area approximately 1,780m²).

Construction of 4 New Schools at Al Khor


Construction of four schools at Al Khor ; a model Boys school, a Secondary Girls
School, an Elementary Girls School and a Preparatory Girls School.
The work for each school included the School Building, Multi-Purpose Hall, Audi-
torium, Guard House, Service Yard, Sports Courts, Paving, Landscaping, Shaded
Structures, Parking and Boundary Wall as well as external services infrastructure.

Sharq Village & Spa

The project works involved the Construction, completion and maintenance of a low rise hotel
and leisure resort.The five star luxurious resort combines traditional architecture with modern
facilities.
It is designed to reflect traditional Qatari way of life. In a unique Qatari village architectural
style, the Resort consists of Residential blocks, Main Building, a 71,500 sq.
foot spa, a traditional Qatari Souq, and entertainment facilities. The main area features
facilities such as Jacuzzis, swimming pools and fitness clubs.

(Volleyball + basketball), a squash court, 6 substations

- Roads, a boundary wall with main entrance and a guard room.

New Customs Centre at Abu Samra

The New Customs Centre at Abu Samra comprises 42 buildings. These build-
ings include a Main building and a VIP Building, a weigh station, two X-ray
inspection buildings and a Truck Inspection Building. The customs Centre has
support facilities including: Mosques, Supermarkets, Restaurants, Workshops
for vehicle repairs, shaded waiting area for truck drivers, quarters for Security,
Traffic Police, Ambulance, Medical and Fire Fighting services.

The Centre is well serviced by full networks of infrastructure which include


Electricity, Street Lighting, Telephones, Fire Alarm, Water Mains, Fire Fighting
Network, Sewage Network

Work comprised:
- Demolition of aa existing finishes to floors, walls, ceilings and services
1st to 5th floors.
- Construction, completion and maintenance of Civil and
MEP works 1st to 5th
floors including all corridors and services areas.
- Supply and fixing of new furniture, furnishing, carpets, sanitary
ware, fixture, accessories, etc.

The scope of work included the demolition, alteration and refurbishment of


the first to seventh floors and the roof:
