Historia

History
At the beginning of the 30’s along with the acceleration of the industrialization, a phenomenon of
great importance many cities started to grow around new industrial settlements. That is the case of our
historical city, becoming an industrial pole of significance in the region, and a very original socio-cultural
centre with favourable infrastructure with good provision of services, agile communications and above all
skilled labour.
In 1936 a "School of Arts and Crafts" was stablished, to fulfil the need of skilled workers within the
provincial jurisdiction. At First, and for a long time, it was settled in an old mansion becoming in its usual
headquarters; the beginnings were difficult with limited resources but with strong will.
Back in 1947 the school began to depend on the national budget and it was called "National
Factory School Nº 29" with better theoretical possibilities and practices. In the 60's, it received another
name "National School of Technical Education No. 1", and moved to the present building in the North of
the city. In 1973, the no less important name of "San Lorenzo Combat" was added. Since 1993 it was put
into provincial jurisdiction again and adopted the name of “Technical Education School Nº 477” and then
“Technical Professional Education School Nº 477”.
Professional Profile
The renewable energy technician is able to demonstrate knowledge, abilities, skills, values and
attitudes in real work situations, according to the criteria of professionalism in the area and social
responsibility such as:
It will be able to interpret the strategic definitions arising from relevant technical and hierarchical
levels, manage their specific activities, perform and monitor all of the activities required to its effective

The main workplace area in which the technician is trained can be grouped in the following way:
Industries
Generation, transport and distribution of energy business
Telecommunication business
Construction companies
Architecture firms
Energy consultant
Environmental consultant
Electric cooperatives consultant
Cooperatives consultant
Agricultural farms
As scope of performance within these areas the technician can act on: control, industrial electronics,
electrical and electronic instrumentation and bioclimatic architecture, technical office for studies and
optimization of energy resources, the use of solid, urban, industrial and agricultural waste for co-
generation of energy or other applications. In this variety of fields the technician works in renewable
energy.
Their performance will also be feasible in the field of research and technological development for
the implementation of policies of environmental care and the rational use of energy. Technicians may act
in different departments such as: project, maintenance, costs, supplies, health and safety and as
providers of specific resources; activities of marketing and consulting of components and equipment and
installation, sales and after-sale services.

Citizenship
Professional Ethics training
Geography
History

Foreign language - Technical English
Spanish
Fine Arts
Physical Education
Scientific and technological field training is the one that identifies the knowledge, abilities, skills,
values and attitudes that gives particular support to the professional field. Includes, integrates and
elaborates essential disciplinary contents that are the basis of the professional practice of the technician,
protect the critical perspective and ethics, and introduce to the comprehension of the elements of the
concerned professional technical training. They are particularly interested and significant for the training
course of a technician. Curriculum areas are as follows:
Biology
Physics & Chemistry
Physics
Chemistry
Technological Education
Mathematics
Drawing
Mechanics. Transmission technology and mechanisms

Specific technical training deals with knowledge on the professional field, as well as the
contextualization of content developed in scientific technological training, and gives an over view of the
specific training areas linked to a technician job, which are needed for the development of their
professionalism and continuous updating. It includes contents based on capabilities that come into play in
the professional dynamics linked to problems related to professional practice in specific socio-productive
contexts. Thus these formative aspects enable the development of knowledge that integrates complex
cognitive processes, skills, and skills with social responsibility criteria. Curriculum areas are as follows:
Professional Practice
The professional practice training enables the application and contrast the knowledge built in the
described fields. Designates the spaces that ensure the articulation between theory and practice in the
training processes and approaches students to real-life work situations or activities.
Escuela de Educación Técnico Profesional Nº 477 “Combate de San Lorenzo”
Professional practice constitutes a training activity to be carried out by all students with teacher
supervision and the school should ensure it during the training course. Since the aim is to familiarize
students with current practices and technical-vocational exercise, It can assume different formats (such as
productive projects, micro-enterprises, support activities requested by the community, internships,
alternation, among others), to be done in different environments (such as laboratories, workshops,
educational units, among others) and organized themselves through a variety of activities (identification
and resolution of technical issues, projects and design, experimental activities, supervised technical-
professional practice among others).
