Employee Satisfaction Survey Report

Purpose:

 To find out the overall level of Employee Satisfaction at TAML-


Mumbai (Head Office + Branches)
 To identify the parameters to increase/boost the level the
satisfaction
 To identify the various factors that motivate the employees
 To identify the areas wherein improvements will be required
 To welcome any suggestions

Years of Comparisons:

 Calendar Year 2005 and 2006

Methodology:

 Questionnaire

Sample Size:

 Overall 48 employees (Cross Level and Cross Functions)

Eligible Participants for the survey:

 Employees joined on or before January 1, 2006

Survey Parameters:

1- Not at all 2- To Some Extent 3- To a large extent 4- Almost Fully

Survey Conducted on: July 3, 2006

Survey Administered by: HRD, Head Office


Suggestions Received from employees:

Parameters Comments Received from employees

Your Job • To give more responsibilities and build faith & confidence of

emps from time to time

• Clarity in the Job Description and KRA is required.

• Proper resources to be made available to perform better at work

• Job rotation should be encouraged to avoid monotony.


Your Work Place Relation • Employees need regular motivation appreciation & recognition

from the Superiors.

• Superiors should provide support when the subordinates need it

• More transparency is required to strengthen superior and

Subordinate relations.

• Seniors should be not be Task Masters but Team Leaders and

Mentors for the juniors


Future Orientation • Management and HR must identify emps with Managerial

capabilities and groom them.

• Must give clear picture to every emp on his/her career graph


Compensation • There should be Quarterly bonus for all dept.

• Some recreational benefits or rewards should be given for late

sittings (monetary or non monetary should be provided )

• Compensation should be according to the industrial standards.


People Policies • Identifying and Recognizing deserving employees in the org.,

• Promotions should be based on Performance and not on seniority

• Awareness on privileges provided by the company, Rules and

regulation etc should be made available to the emps.


Training & Development • More Trainings should be provided on Soft Skill & Job Related

subjects by identifying the Training needs and People who will


benefit from such training.

• Training should be provided to all emps on TBEM

Performance Appraisal • Performance Appraisal system should encourage one to one

discussions

• More information on Appraisal System should be given to

employees to tell them what is expected of them.

• There should necessarily be written JD’s & KRA to be given to

employees.

• Cut off for appraisal to be increased from 30th Sept to give chance

to exemplary employees who have performed very well by

rewarding even if they are not in the Appraisal purview


Value System Should be more clear , Profit oriented and less people oriented.

Other Suggestions • Hygiene factors like Large Pantry, snacks facilities during late

sittings , Pickup from the near by stations, Home loans for

employees, Better Infrastructure at Branches should be provided

• To have some recreational activities like gatherings, movies,

Events like picnics etc .

• Microwave oven should be provided at HO to heat foodstuff from

hygiene point of view esp in rainy season
