Right angle branch duct tappings may result in uneven air distribution and high entry loss depending on the velocity adopted. Providing a smooth entry with
tapered inlet helps in these duct layouts. Correction in duct layouts result in power savings. If it is air feeding duct to combustor, there will be combustion
performance improvement. If it’s a fan inlet duct, there will be improvement in fan performance.
