CENACLE

MARIAN
MOVEMENT
OF PRIESTS
(INDIA)
Cenacles of the Marian Movement of Priests
"Cenacle" is a word for the upper room where the apostles of Jesus gathered
together with his Mother, Mary in prayer, and the Holy Spirit powerfully
descended upon them. It was during this original Pentecost that the Catholic
Church was born. Two thousand years later, Mother Mary renews the call to
gather together with her in a Cenacle of Prayer in anticipation of the Holy
Spirit.

"Just as in the Cenacle of Jerusalem the Apostles, reunited with me in prayer,

prepared for the moment of the first Pentecost, so also, in the cenacle of my
Immaculate Heart - and consequently in the cenacles where you are gathered
in prayer - you apostles of these last times can, with your heavenly Mother,
obtain a new effusion of the Holy Spirit." (Message 284 p, Jan. 28, 1984*)

Accepting Mother Mary’s invitation to gather together and pray, this book
can be used as a Prayer Guide in Cenacles of Prayer with the Blessed Virgin
Mary.

*This Cenacle uses messages from the book "To the Priests, Our Lady's
Beloved Sons".
Imprimatur: There is nothing contrary to faith or morals in this booklet

MESSAGE
Archbishop’s House
21, N. Parekh Marg
Mumbai - 400001

Mary has played a great part in the life of the Church. Catholics have always felt
close to her. One of the movements which has fostered this devotion in the
Church has been the Marian Movement, CENACLE. A few priests have
approached the Archbishop for permission to start this movement in the
Archdiocese and the Archbishop gladly gives his permission to do so.

May Mary our Mother bless all, particularly the priests, who come together to
support each through prayer, meetings and sharing of their life in the Cenacle.

MESSAGE - Bishop Dominic Savio Fernandes
Love for Mother Mary was inculcated in me and my siblings by my parents right
from our childhood. I remember both my parents telling us to pray one ‘Our
Father’, three ‘Hail Marys’ and the ‘Glory be to the Father’, whenever we
encountered any difficulties in life and whenever we left the house to go on a
journey. My mother was always very particular that we prayed the family
Rosary at home every day.

I have a tremendous affection and love for Mother Mary and I feel very close to
her because I have personally experienced her maternal care and protection
over me all through these years.

ORIGIN OF ‘THE MARIAN MOVEMENT OF PRIESTS’

The Marian Movement of Priests (MMP) is an association of Catholic clergy and

lay associate members founded by an Italian priest from Milan, Fr. Stefano
Gobbi in 1972. On May 8th 1972 Father Gobbi, was on a pilgrimage to Fátima,
Portugal, and was praying in the Shrine of Our Lady of Fátima for some priests
who had given up their vocations. On that day he reported his first interior
locution from the Virgin Mary.

Father Gobbi reported that the inner voice urged him to have confidence in the
Immaculate Heart of Mary and to gather those priests that would be willing to
consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and be strongly united
with the Pope and the Catholic Church. According to Father Gobbi, he prayed to
Mother Mary for a confirmation of the inner voice, which he reported as
receiving later in May 1972 while praying in the Church of the Annunciation in
Nazareth.

In July 1973, Father Gobbi began to write his interior locutions as messages
which he attributed to the Virgin Mary. The messages from July 1973 to
December 1997 were published in the book: "To the Priests, Our Lady's
Beloved Sons." These messages have now become the genuine hand book of the
MMP. There are 604 messages in the book and they span over 24 years of Father
Gobbi's life.

Most of the messages often ask the faithful to follow Jesus and not deviate from
His path. Message 110 of September 25, 1976 warns against diluting the words
of the Gospel and creating “your own Gospel with your own words” rather than
following the original teachings of Jesus.

1
Mother Mary’s Vision through the Book

The book "To the Priests, Our Lady's Beloved Sons", is the instrument chosen by
Our Lady for carrying to the hearts and the souls of her beloved children the
voice of their Heavenly Mother. It is the manifestation of her maternal plan to
lead all souls back to Jesus, and her invitation to receive one and all within the
refuge of her Immaculate Heart. It is a guide for helping them to live the
consecration to her Immaculate Heart.

Mother Mary’s Messages to us

“I tell you the things which I have most on my Heart, because they are the very
things which Jesus has told you in the Gospel, which today should be lived with
the simplicity of little ones, with the ardour of martyrs, and with the fidelity of
courageous witnesses: it should be lived to the letter!" (282 j)

"Accordingly I am calling you to prayer, to penitence, to mortification, to the

practice of virtue, to trust, to hope, to the exercise of an ever more perfect
charity.” (282 k)

“My only concern is that you live everything I have told you. Then your hearts
will be inflamed with love, your souls will be illumined by my light, and I will
transform you interiorly to lead you to do each day what pleases the Heart of
Jesus". (282 e)

"If you are consecrated to me, I take you just as you are, with your limitations,
your defects and sins, your frailty, but then each day I transform you to bring
you to be in accordance with the plan which God has entrusted to my
Immaculate Heart.” [(282 f), Jan 21, 1984]

Mother Mary’s Expectation from us

In this book, Mother Mary tells us that we are in the time of her special
intervention. She is announcing to her priests and faithful the coming of a new
era of grace and holiness for the Church and the world. As a preparation, she is
asking the whole Church to consecrate themselves to her Immaculate Heart and
to gather in cenacles of prayer with her.

2
Consecration to Her Immaculate Heart

“It is the message of Fatima which is reaching its fulfilment and is being realized
everywhere, through the merciful action of your heavenly Mother. Through it I
have asked for the consecration to my Immaculate Heart, as a sure means of
obtaining conversion of heart and of life, and of leading humanity back along
the road of its full return to the Lord.” (*594 d)

The Cenacles of Prayer

“It is the message of Fatima which is being fulfilled in the spread, now on a
world-wide level, of the cenacles which I have asked of you, in order to gather
you together in prayer, made with me and through me. With great joy I accept
today from your hands, my little son, the homage which you are offering to me in
these cenacles, which are being multiplied everywhere, among priests and
faithful, among children, youth and above all in families. (*594 f)

With these cenacles, you are able to obtain the grace of conversion for many
poor sinners, especially for those most in need of divine mercy. (*594 g)

With these cenacles, you offer a great force of intercession and of reparation to
your heavenly Mother, who has intervened many times, in an extraordinary
way, to shorten the painful time of the great purifying trial. (*594 h)

With these cenacles, you invoke the gift of the second Pentecost, which is now
close at hand, because my Immaculate Heart has become the new spiritual
cenacle, where this divine prodigy for the Church and all humanity will be
accomplished." (*594 I)

(*Message 594 was received on May 8, 1997, in Fatima, Portugal on the

Twenty-fifth Anniversary of the Birth of the Marian Movement of Priests).

3
MARIAN MOVEMENT OF PRIESTS

(A Gift of Our Blessed Mother Mary)

"In order to give the suffering and crucified Church of your time my motherly
help and a safe refuge, I have brought the Marian Movement of Priests into
being and have spread it through every part of the world by means of my book,
which traces out for you the road along which you must journey in order to
spread my light. With this book, I teach you to live the consecration to my
Immaculate Heart with the simplicity of children, in a spirit of humility, of
poverty, of trust and of filial abandonment." [(604 i), December 31, 1997]

The Work that Our Lady is carrying out through this movement is for a spiritual
renewal of the Church and all humanity.

To bring the Message of Fatima to Fulfillment

"I have caused to spring up here, for twenty-five years now, my Marian
Movement of Priests, so that the message of Fatima, often contested and
rejected by many, might in your days come to its complete fulfilment." (594 l)

The Fatima message's fulfilment is necessary for you, my children, threatened

and stricken, so that you may attain salvation. Its fulfilment is necessary for the
Church, so wounded and crucified, so that from its painful and bloody trial it
might emerge all beautiful, without spot or wrinkle, in imitation of its heavenly
Mother. Its fulfilment is necessary for all humanity, so that it may return to the
arms of its Father and come to know the new times of its full communion of love
and of life with its Lord and God. [(594 m) May 8, 1997]

To form her Faithful Remnant

“It is my work, which I myself am now carrying out, in order to gather from all
sides the little remnant which will remain faithful to Jesus and to his Gospel, to
the Pope and to the Church united with him.” (497 e)

“If indeed his return is close at hand, then my motherly action becomes more
concerned and vigorous, in order to assist all my children to remain ever in the
truth of the faith. This is why I have asked you to consecrate yourselves to my
Immaculate Heart. This is why, in these times of yours, I have spread

4
everywhere my Marian Movement of Priests: to form the little flock, reunited in
the prayer of the cenacles and watchful in expectation - the flock gathered
together and formed by me to ever preserve the true faith”. (420 I)

“Thus, when the Son of Man returns, He will still find the faith on earth in all
those who will have consecrated themselves to me, allowing themselves to be
gathered together in the heavenly garden of my Immaculate Heart”. [(420 j),
March 13, 1990]

To conquer Satan

“It is my work, which I am carrying out in every part of the world in order to
conquer Satan, in the great battle against all the wicked spirits, because in the
end my Immaculate Heart will triumph”. (497 e)

To spread the truth and to bring us to a greater unity with the Pope and the
Church united to him. (497 h)

“It is my work, which I am accomplishing to spread the truth in these times of

great apostasy, to bring you to greater unity with the Pope in these days of
division and of widespread rebellion, to lead you along the way of grace and
holiness amidst the general spread of sin and impurity”. [(497I), June 19, 1993]

5
CENACLE OF THE MARIAN MOVEMENT OF PRIESTS

I. Invocation to the Holy Spirit: As a time for invoking the Holy Spirit
through Our Mother Mary, the cenacle ought to begin with either a hymn to
the Holy Spirit such as, "Come Holy Ghost," or with the short invocation
given by Our Mother Mary herself in her messages.
". . . I invite you to repeat often: 'Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the
powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, your well beloved
Spouse." [(226 k), June 7, 1981]

II. Recitation of the Holy Rosary*: Since the cenacle is where we gather to
pray with Our Mother Mary, the recitation of the Rosary, Mother Mary's prayer
par excellence, is characteristic to all cenacles.
"When you recite the Rosary you invite me to pray with you and, each time, I
truly join in your prayer." [(148 p), Feb. 11, 1978]
*The recitation of the Rosary must always be accompanied with meditation on
the mysteries.

III. Prayers for the Holy Father the Pope*: Unity with the Pope and the
Church united to him remains an indispensable characteristic of the cenacles of
the Marian Movement of Priests.
"You must support him with prayer, with your love and with your fidelity. You
must follow him, carrying out to perfection whatever he determines for the good
of the Church." [(162 e), Oct. 17, 1978]
* With the recitation of the Rosary, it is customary to pray one 'Our Father, one
Hail Mary and one Glory Be' for the Pope's intentions. These fully satisfy the
conditions for obtaining the indulgence attached to the Rosary.

IV. Reading and Meditation on our Lady’s Book: Within the cenacle,
there is always a reading of a message from the book, "To the Priests, Our Lady's
Beloved Sons." Meditation on Our Lady's messages is necessary for they trace
out a simple and luminous way which we are to travel in order to grow in her love
and in life with her through the consecration to her Immaculate Heart.

“Read it, my beloved sons, meditate on it, live it! Have no doubt; I am speaking
to you. Through these words I am present in it and manifest myself."
[(284 j), Jan. 28, 1984]

6
V. Fraternity / Fraternal Sharing: Although some prefer to maintain an
atmosphere of silence during the cenacle, it is acceptable to allot a brief time
specifically for fraternal sharing so that, as Our Lady says, we can know each
other, help each other, and love one another as brothers brought together by her
[(34j), Jan.17,1974]. Our shared presence with Mother Mary in an atmosphere
of prayer, enables us to strengthen and encourage one another precisely so that
we may go forward in our consecration.

Note: This time must never digress into a discussion of other topics,
apparitions, messages or devotions which could impede Our Lady's work in the
souls of those joining you. It is the request of Our Blessed Mother that the
cenacles remain pure in spirit, therefore we must respect the structure which
has been laid for the cenacle.

VI. The Act of Consecration: Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of

Mary is the first commitment for belonging to Our Lady's Movement. By this
Act of Consecration we put our life into her hands, completely and without
reserve, so that she may transform us into the image and likeness of her Son,
Jesus. "Make it, renew it often, and especially, my sons, live this consecration of
yours!" [(86 k), Nov. 9, 1975]
If circumstances permit, the Cenacle may include the following:

 Holy Mass • Benediction

 Liturgy of the Hours • Silent Prayer
 Holy Hour • Hymns

This booklet systematically guides you through the process.

The Preparation: No one should be hesitant in beginning a Cenacle of the

Marian Movement of Priests. Only two people are needed. Our Lady says:

"It is not necessary that they come together in great numbers: even two or three
are enough." (34 c). "There is no need of organization. Everything should be
simple, spontaneous, quiet and fraternal." [(34 e), Jan. 17, 1974]

The Cenacles can be a combination of one or more of the following: Priests,

Religious, Laity, Young People, Children. They may be held nationally,
regionally, by diocese, in communities at large, in parishes, in religious houses
or in one or more families.

The Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

Invocation to the Holy Spirit

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Thy well-beloved Spouse. (3 times)

The Apostles’ Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried;
He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; he
ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father
almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in
the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father, three Hail Marys & Glory Be...

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy
will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and
forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us
not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen (3 times)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Golden Chain Prayer

O Holy Mother of God, with this golden chain, we tie our families and our Priests
to Thy Immaculate Heart, and to the Sacred Heart of Our Lord and Saviour
Jesus Christ burning with love for us in the Blessed Eucharist.

Prayer before the Rosary

Blessed Mother, come stay with me, Celestial Holy and Heavenly family, come
pray with me, and offer all the Rosaries that ever were, and ever will be to Our
Heavenly Father, for all needy humanity. Let its power conquer hate and
iniquity, fill the world with peace and harmony, crush the head of Satan, who
lies in wait so stealthily.

Almighty God, You have promised this would come to be. Lord, let my lowly
prayer add strength in union with others, so the power of the devotion to Our
Lady's Rosary will be spread universally, and Thy Most Holy Will, be done on
earth as it is in heaven.

For these graces we humbly thank Thee. We offer this Rosary for our Lady's
Intentions and for Pope______, Bishops and Priests, especially our own
Parish Priest and the Priest Team.

Reading and Meditation of a Message from:

“TO THE PRIESTS: OUR LADY'S BELOVED SONS”

Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

(For Priests)

Virgin of Fatima, Mother of Mercy, Queen of Heaven and Earth,

Refuge of Sinners, we who belong to the Marian Movement of Priests,
called to form the cohort of your priests, today consecrate ourselves in a
very special way to your Immaculate Heart.
By this act of consecration we intend to live, with you and through

16
you, all the obligations assumed by our baptismal and priestly
consecration. We further pledge to bring about in ourselves that interior
conversion that will free us of all human attachment to ourselves, our
career, our comforts, or to easy compromises with the world so that, like
you, we may be available only to do always the Will of the Lord.
And as we resolve to entrust to you, O Mother most sweet and
merciful, our priesthood, so that you may dispose of it for all your designs
of salvation in this hour of decision that weighs upon the world, we pledge
to live it according to your desires, especially as it pertains to a renewed
spirit of prayer and penance, the fervent celebration of the Holy
Eucharist and of the Liturgy of the Hours, the daily recitation of the Holy
Rosary, the offering of Holy Mass in your honour on the first Saturday of
every month, and a religious and austere manner of life, that shall be a
good example to all.
We further promise you the greatest loyalty to the Gospel, of which
we shall always be genuine and courageous heralds, even, if necessary, to
the shedding of our blood. We promise loyalty to the Church, for whose
service we have been consecrated.
Above all, we wish to be united with the Holy Father and the
hierarchy, firmly adhering to all their directives, so as thus to set up a
barrier to the growing confrontation directed against the Magisterium,
that threatens the very foundation of the Church.
Under your maternal protection, we want moreover to be apostles
of this sorely needed unity of prayer and love for the Pope, on whom we
invoke your special protection.
And lastly, we promise to lead the faithful entrusted to our care to
a renewed devotion to you. Mindful that atheism has caused shipwreck in
the faith to a great number of the faithful, that desecration has entered
into the holy temple of God, not sparing even many of our brother-
priests, and that evil and sin are spreading more and more throughout
the world, we make so bold as to lift our eyes trustingly to you, O Mother
of Jesus and our merciful and powerful Mother, and we invoke again
today and await from you the salvation of all your children, O clement, O
loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
(With ecclesiastical approval)

Refuge of Sinners, we who belong to the Marian Movement consecrate
ourselves in a very special way to your Immaculate Heart.
By this act of consecration we intend to live, with you and through
you, all the obligations assumed by our baptismal consecration. We further

demanded by the Gospel, a conversion that will free us of every attachment
to ourselves and to easy compromises with the world so that, like you, we
may be available only to do always the Will of the Father.
And as we resolve to entrust to you, O Mother most sweet and
merciful, our life and vocation as Christians, that you may dispose of it
according to your designs of salvation in this hour of decision that weighs
upon the world, we pledge to live it according to your desires, especially as it
pertains to a renewed spirit of prayer and penance, the fervent participation
in the celebration of the Eucharist and in the works of the apostolate, the
daily recitation of the holy rosary, and an austere manner of life in keeping
with the Gospel, that shall be to all a good example of the observance of the
Law of God and the practice of the Christian virtues, especially that of purity.
We further promise you to be united with the Holy Father, with the
hierarchy and with our priests, in order thus to set up a barrier to the
growing confrontation directed against the Magisterium, that threatens the
very foundation of the Church.
Under your protection, we want moreover to be apostles of this sorely
needed unity of prayer and love for the Pope, on whom we invoke your
special protection.
And lastly, insofar as is possible, we promise to lead those souls with
whom we come in contact to a renewed devotion to you. Mindful that
atheism has caused shipwreck in the faith to a great number of the faithful,
that desecration has entered into the holy temple of God, and that evil and
sin are spreading more and more throughout the world, we make so bold as
to lift our eyes trustingly to you, O Mother of Jesus and our merciful and
powerful Mother, and we invoke again today and await from you the
salvation of all your children, O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
(For Youth)

Virgin of Fatima, my dearly beloved Mother, I who belong to the

Marian Movement, consecrate myself today, in a very special way, to your
Immaculate Heart.
By this solemn act, I offer my whole life to you; my heart, my soul,
my body and especially this time of my youth in which I am now living.
Guide me along the way that Jesus has traced out for me: the way of love,
of goodness and of sanctity.
Help me to flee from sin, from evil and from egoism and to resist
temptations to violence, to impurity and to drugs.
I promise you to go to confession often and to receive Jesus into
my heart as my spiritual food of life, to observe the commandments of
God, to walk along the road of love and of purity, and to recite the holy
rosary daily. I want to be a witness of unity by my great love for the Pope,
for my Bishop and for my Priests.
I love you, O sweetest Mother of mine, and I offer you my youth for
the triumph of your Immaculate Heart in the world.
(With ecclesiastical approval)

The Second Fatima prayer: (3 times)

(The Angel to the three children of Fatima, 1916)

"My God, I believe, I adore, I hope, and I love thee. I beg pardon of thee for
those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love
thee."

We close the Cenacle with the Hymn to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

SAINTS AND POPES ON THE ROSARY

“Say the Rosary every day to obtain peace for the world”. (Our Lady of Fátima).

“Among all the devotions approved by the Church none has been so favored by
so many miracles as the devotion of the Most Holy Rosary”. (Blessed Pope Pius
IX).

“The Rosary is the most beautiful and the most rich in graces of all prayers; it is
the prayer that touches most the Heart of the Mother of God…and if you wish
peace to reign in your homes, recite the family Rosary”. (Saint Pope Pius X).

“There is no surer means of calling down God's blessings upon the family... than
the daily recitation of the Rosary”. (Venerable Pope Pius XII).

“The Rosary is a magnificent and universal prayer for the needs of the Church,
the nations and the entire world”. (Saint Pope John XXIII).

“The Rosary is the compendium of the entire Gospel”. (Blessed Pope Paul VI).

“How beautiful is the family that recites the Rosary every evening”. Saint Pope
John Paul II had called the Rosary his “favorite prayer”, after the Mass and the
Liturgy of the Hours.

“Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a
statement that I would gladly sign with my blood”. Saint Louis de Montfort
warns us against both the ignorant and scholars who regard the Rosary as
something of little importance... “the Rosary is a priceless treasure inspired by
God”.

“If you persevere in reciting the Rosary, this will be a most probable sign of your
eternal salvation”. “The Holy Rosary is the storehouse of countless blessing”.
(Blessed Alan de la Roche).

“The greatest method of praying is to pray the Rosary”. (Saint Francis de Sales).

Go to the Madonna. Love her! Always say the Rosary. Say it well. Say it as often
as you can! Be souls of prayer. Never tire of praying, it is what is essential. Prayer
shakes the Heart of God, it obtains necessary graces! (Saint Padre Pio of
Pietrelcina)

ABOUT THE ROSARY
The powerful benefits of Praying the Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Fifteen Promises of the Rosary
In the thirteenth century, Saint Dominic and Blessed Alan received the
following promises from Our Lady for all those who faithfully pray the Rosary:
1. To all those who shall pray my Rosary devoutly, I promise my special
protection and great graces.
2. Those who shall persevere in the recitation of my Rosary will receive some
special grace.
3. The Rosary will be a very powerful armour against hell; it will destroy vice,
deliver from sin and dispel heresy.
4. The Rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for
souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men
from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of
eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. Those who trust themselves to me through the Rosary will not perish.
6. Whoever recites my Rosary devoutly reflecting on the mysteries, shall
never be overwhelmed by misfortune. He will not experience the anger of
God nor will he perish by an unprovided death. The sinner will be
converted; the just will persevere in grace and merit eternal life.
7. Those truly devoted to my Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of
the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite my Rosary shall have during their life and
at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces and will
share in the merits of the blessed.
9. I will deliver promptly from purgatory souls devoted to my Rosary.
10. True children of my Rosary will enjoy great glory in heaven.
11. What you shall ask through my Rosary you shall obtain.
12. To those who propagate my Rosary I promise aid in all their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Son that all the members of the Rosary
Confraternity shall have as their intercessors, in life and in death, the
entire celestial court.
14. Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are my beloved children, the
brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion to my Rosary is a special sign of predestination.

Offer Intentions Before / While Praying the Rosary

Practically everyone who prays the Rosary "offers" the Rosary to God and Our
Lady for an intention. Some people offer particular intentions before each
decade. You can ask God to grant you a favour, heal a sick person, or convert a
sinner. Some people offer the same intention every day--sometimes for years on
end--especially when asking the Father for the conversion of a particular
person. Intentions are as varied as the people who pray. Ask for big and small
gifts. Be bold! In this sense, the Rosary is an exchange of gifts between friends. It
is widely known that Our Lady answers seemingly impossible intentions to
those who are first beginning to pray the Rosary. This is her way of drawing you
closer to her and to Jesus. If you are praying your first Rosary, or returning to
the Rosary after years of not talking to Our Lady, ask for something big,
spectacular, "impossible." She'll often surprise you.

Gain a Plenary Indulgence by Praying the Rosary

The Catholic Church, exercising its authority to "bind and loose on heaven and
earth," and in perfect accord with God's Mercy, has set the following conditions
for the granting of a plenary indulgence for those who pray the Rosary:

• Be in a state of grace--that is your soul is free from mortal sin.

• Be free from attachment to--that is, not in the habit of--venial sin.
• Go to confession several days before or after praying the Rosary.
• Receive Holy Communion on the day you pray the Rosary.
• Say a prayer for the Pope.
In fulfilling these simple yet difficult conditions, we can help souls on their way
to God.
The Church enables us to go beyond death and find a way of helping each other
even beyond the gates of death.

The Full Daily Rosary

A "full Rosary" consists of saying all twenty decades, that is, all four sets of five
Mysteries. A "Rosary" consists of praying five decades of one set of Mysteries.
Many people pray a full Rosary every day; either by praying four separate
Rosaries in the morning, midday, afternoon, and evening; or all twenty
Mysteries at one time. (it is not necessary to repeat the preamble--the Apostles
Creed, etc.--between the four sets of Mysteries if one is praying a full Rosary.
Conclude with Hail Holy Queen after the last of the Glorious mysteries).

MARIAN HYMNS
1. Daily, Daily Sing to Mary Salve, Salve, Salve Regina.
Daily, daily sing to Mary,
Sing, my soul, her praises due: The cause of joy to men below,
All her feasts, her actions honor O Maria.
With the heart's devotion true. The spring through which all graces
flow,
Lost in wond'ring contemplation, O Maria.
Be her majesty confessed: Angels all your praises bring,
Call her Mother, call her Virgin, Earth and heaven with us sing,
Happy Mother, Virgin blest. All creation echoing:

2. Gentle Woman Salve, Salve, Salve Regina (2).

Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with you. 4. Hail Mary, Full of Grace
Blessed are you among women, Hail Mary, full of grace
And blessed is the fruit And Mother of our God,
of your womb, Jesus. O pray for us, poor sinners.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, Hail Mary, full of grace.
Pray for us sinners now,
And at the hour of death. Amen. You heard the word of God
And kept it in your heart,
Gentle woman, quiet light, O blessed among all women,
Morning star so strong and bright, O Mary, pray for us.
Gentle mother peaceful dove.
Teach us wisdom; teach us love. You stood beside the cross
Unto the very last.
You were chosen by the Father: O blest among all women,
You were chosen for the Son, O Mary, pray for us.
You were chosen from all women
And for woman, shining one. 5. Hail Queen of Heaven
Hail queen of heaven, The Ocean Star,
3. Hail, Holy Queen Enthroned
Guide of the wanderer here below.
Hail, holy queen enthroned above,
Thrown on life’s surge,
O Maria.
we claim thy care,
Hail, Queen of mercy and of love,
Save us from peril and from woe.
O Maria.
Triumph, all ye Cherubim,
Mother of Christ, Star of the sea,
sing with us, Ye Seraphim,
Pray for the wanderer, pray for me. (2)
Heav’n and earth resound the hymn:

23
6. Holy Virgin, by God’s decree 9. Mary said: "Yes”
Holy virgin, by God’s decree, "O maiden will you be
You were called eternally, The Mother of the Saviour?
That He could give his Son to our race. Your God has chosen you
Mary, we praise you, hail, full of grace. To give the world his Son.
His power will be your shield,
Ave, Ave, Ave Maria. His Spirit come upon you."
Ave, Ave, Ave Maria. And Mary bowed and said:
“God’s will be done!"
By your faith and loving accord
As the handmaid of the Lord, And Mary said: Yes,
You undertook God’s plan to embrace. And Mary said: Yes,
Mary, we thank you, hail full of grace. And Mary said: Yes,
When she knew that it was
7. Let’s sing to our Mother the will of God.
Let’s sing to our mother,
As we would sing to our love, "No cradle will be his,
Mother in heaven, yet But just a simple manger.
Mother with us on earth. A helpless little babe,
From Herod’s wrath he’ll run.
Mary, we love you, And in a foreign land,
Mary we praise you, Long years he’ll have to linger."
And Mary bowed and said:
You are the joy of the earth. “God’s will be done!”
Angels revere you,
Saints gather near you, 10. Mother Dear, O Pray for me
Heaven rejoiced at your birth. Mother dear, O pray for me,
Whilst far from heaven and Thee,
8. Mary from thy Sacred Image I wander in a fragile bark,
Mary from thy sacred image, Over life’s tempestuous sea.
With those eyes so sadly sweet,
Mother of Perpetual Succour! O Virgin Mother, from Thy throne,
See us kneeling at Thy feet. So bright in bliss above,
In Thine arms Thy child thou bearest, Protect Thy child and cheer my path,
Source of all Thy joy and woe, With Thy sweet smile of love.
What Thy bliss, how deep
Thy sorrows, Mother dear, Oh pray for me,
Mother, Thou alone canst know. And never cease Thy care,
Till in heaven eternally,
Thy love and bliss I share.

24
11. Mother Dearest 12. Mother of God
Mother dearest, mother fairest, Mother of God, plead with thy Son,
Help of all who call on Thee. Pray for us sinners, Mary most pure.
Virgin purest, brightest, rarest,
Help us, help, we cry to Thee. May God pour cleansing
streams over us,
Mary, help us, help we pray, Washing our souls
Mary, help us, help we pray, from every stain.
Help us in all care and sorrow,
Mary, help us, help we pray. May he remove
our stony hearts,
Mary, help in pain and sorrow, Give us a heart of flesh
Soothe those rack’d on bed of pain, in its stead.
May the golden light of morrow,
Bring them health and joy again. May he incline our minds
to his voice,
Mary, help us, help we pray. (2) That we may bend
Help us in all care and sorrow. our hearts to his will.
Mary, help us, help we pray.

13. No one can Live as an Island 15. On this Day O Beautiful
No one can live as an island, Mother
Journeying through life alone. On this day O beautiful Mother,
Since we’re most loved by a mother, On this day we give thee our love,
Jesus gave us his own. Near thee Madonna fondly we hover,
Trusting thy gentle care to prove.
Be with us, Mary, along the way.
Guide every step we take. On this day we ask to share,
Lead us to Jesus, your loving Son. Dearest Mother, thy sweet care,
Come with us, Mary, come. Aid us ere our feet astray,
Wander from thy guiding way.
When Jesus met with rejection,
Mary stood by the cross. Queen of angels deign to hear,
How can a mother desert her son? Lisping children’s humble prayer,
She’ll also stand by us. Young hearts gain, O Virgin pure,
Sweetly to thyself allure.
14. O Queen of the Holy Rosary
O Queen of the holy Rosary, 16. Sing we now in Praise of Mary
Oh, bless us as we pray, Sing we now in praise of Mary,
And offer thee our roses, Sing with joy her praises due,
In garlands, day by day; Imitate her every virtue
While from our Father’s garden, As a loyal child and true
With loving hearts and bold,
We gather to thine honour, In her womb she moulded Jesus,
Buds white and red and gold. In her heart God’s Word did stay.
Into other Christ's she’ll change us
O Queen of the Holy Rosary! In a mother’s gentle way.
Each mystery blends with thine
The sacred life of Jesus, Constant was the love he gave her,
In every step divine. Though he went forth from her side,
Thy soul was His fair garden, Forth to preach and heal and suffer,
Thy Virgin breast His throne, Till on Calvary he died.
Thy thoughts His faithful mirror,
Reflecting Him alone. 17. Star of the Ocean

This Guide for ‘The Marian Movement Cenacle’ has been prepared to
propagate and eventually bring to fulfillment Mother Mary’s vision as
she has perceived for the Church, i.e., to gather priests who would be
willing to consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
and be strongly united with the Pope and the Catholic Church. This
guide invites and assists priests and lay people to join in Cenacles of
Prayer with our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Marian Movement of Priests is an association of Catholic clergy

and lay associate members founded by Italian priest Fr. Stefano
Gobbi. Father Gobbi began to write his interior locutions as messages
which he attributed to the Virgin Mary from July 1973 to December
1997. These were later published as the book: "To the Priests, Our
Lady's Beloved Sons."

This book has a total of 604 messages. Most of these messages ask the
faithful to follow Jesus and not deviate from His path. They warn us
against diluting the words of the Gospel and creating “your own
Gospel with your own words”, rather than following the original
teachings of Jesus.

This guide encourages the laity to also participate and conduct prayer
cenacles, as the Marian Movement of Priests. It makes the Cenacle of
Prayer simple to understand, easy to lead in prayer and can be used at
home and among communities, gathering together to pray.
