Whereas private property rights​ are a ​core value​ of the Republican Party of Texas.

Whereas permitting​ by political subdivisions represents ​an infringement upon private property
rights​.

Whereas​, during the called session of the 85th Texas legislature, the Texas Senate passed ​SB 13
(Burton)​, which subsequently died in the Texas house state affairs committee.

Therefore be it resolved​ that the Republican Party of Texas calls for ​statewide reform of
political subdivision permitting​ in the form of ​SB 13 (85(1))​ or better​.
