You
would serve as company resource in the areas of statistics, mathematics, experimental design,
and data management, consult with senior level scientists, engineers, and management on a
variety of statistical and mathematical issues, and apply current statistical and mathematical
techniques to engineering and scientific problems. You would assume significant responsibility for
continued development of the Nuclear Data Management and Analysis System (NDMAS), INL's
system for storage, analysis and display of data from a wide range experiments supporting the
nation's nuclear research and development program.
You would serve as statistical lead for analysis of nuclear power plant operational event data for
the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. You would mentor junior members of the department in
statistical data analysis, experimental design, data management, and technical writing. You would
publish results of work in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
Minimum Requirements:
MS degree plus 3 years relevant experience, or PhD plus 2 years relevant experience.
Advanced degree must be in statistics, mathematics, or closely related field.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with the application of Bayesian Statistics
• Familiar with database design concepts
