Service-Friendly Design

Easy-to-service design features

 Defined combustor handling tool
envelope (blue frame)
 Utilize engine symmetry to
optimize maintenance tasks
 Provides multi-task environment
 Does not require cover lift for
Combustion Inspection
 Access under engine for
tooling installation
 One toolkit for burner and
transition assembly

SGT-8000H Core Engine
Designed for easy and fast maintenance

All rotating blades including compressor are replaceable

without a rotor lift.

Row 1 Turbine Blades/Vanes/Ring Segments & Row 4

Blades can be replaced with or without cover lift.

Roll out/in capability of the turbine vane carrier enables

exchange of stationary turbine hardware without rotor lift.

Roll out/in capability also allows for optional assembled

spare vane carrier exchange concept which further reduces
outage durations.

Service-Friendly Combustor Maintenance Concept

Benefits TLC 44 / TLC45 Single Shaft Configuration

 No external crane or other support devices required
 Easy access for Field Service personnel
 Better protection of combustor components against
handling issues
 Pre-assembled burner system for fast installation
 Optimized outage durations due to simultaneous
work flow & packaging

SGT- 8000H Serviceability
3D model supports service requirements

Based on the 3D model the best service concept will be developed and customized, e.g.
1. Rotor Inspection can be conducted on site
2. Upending fixture foundation installed during plant construction
3. Lower cost and higher availability as repair possible without factory visit

Destacking Service Option: upending fixture foundation installed during plant construction.
